Well, some of you have been asking for one, so here it is for sale.....A Homebrew Sega Neptune System

FEATURES:

-Great compatibility with Genesis/Sega 32X games-

-With built-in Eng/Jap region switch(Yes, some 32X games will even display in "Super 32X" Japanese hidden mode-

-Full RGB support at the 9 mini pin din connector AV port (for those wanting to use an RGB to Component transcoder-

-New Capacitors-

-Only one Power Supply needed to power this beast-

-Heatsinks and Cooling Fan installed, for long extended periods of gameplay-

-Same pheriperal accessories compatibility, just as a regular Genesis/32X combo has-

-Tested to work with the Sega Cd system (although my cd systems have been fully serviced with new caps and the such) so this may vary-

Thanks for the suggestion.....Although I already have done that a couple of times in the past before :D ....I just figured to offer it here first, and perhaps other forums as well, before going that route again....Here, where there should be some kind of Sega Love anyway :love: ...

Which video chip is it using?

Is a cxa1145 but don't really matter, the 32X has its own analog video encoder ,I won't do anything else, 'cause some people will rather use a RGB to Component converter (to get component video for both Genesis and 32X games, and if this is used while having an existing s-video mod (for Genesis games only) this can cause a conflict to the converter....

OK cool, so it uses the default 32X video chip in the end?

Yeap....I wanted to add another encoder on top, but I'm out of them atm + makes this system a bit more affordable for some ;) ....

I would jump all over it if I had the funds right now.

Thats pretty nice...why the cooling fan..does the 32x run that hot when inside the genesis itself?

I think it's a mix of "just in case" and "yes, it does run a little hot since the 32X boards are sitting right on top of the Genesis mother board".

Damn, I want it, but there's no way to hook up a SEGA CD to that is there...
