Every white male should have a little guilt for being born.
Well, yeah. I mean we basically ruined indigenous cultures the world over. At least a little guilt is understandable, if not admirable.
I didn't do anything, so I sleep peacefully each night with a clean conscience. I can only assume that Warmsignal was making a funny.
Well I didn't do anything either. At least not in this lifetime. But I still feel sorta bad that white people have fucked over people of color since the beginning of history!
It's kinda like when one of your friends is drunk and being an idiot, and you sort of apologize for him to the other party because you don't want any trouble. That's sort of how I look at white guilt.
Let's take that analogy further, shall we? What if this wasn't even your friend, but rather a distant cousin from out of state or some guy you barely knew in hig school. And rather than hearing about his actions first-hand, you read about it in the newspaper or on the Internet.
Would you still feel a little embarrassed?
