So just got this off of ebay. Looked fine in the picture, and the listing described it as "Very Good" condition and "Game case: EXCELLENT!"
When I take it out of the box I notice... the transparent plastic sleeve on the box is gone, and the box art has been *glued* to the case.

The other day I got a few NES/SNES controllers. In the picture, one was shown to be a super famicom controller. I recieved a standard (PAL) SNES controller instead. I am not sure how I feel about that one because it works and is in pretty good nick. I have bought HEAPS off the guy in the recent past (allthough he does you "rong time" for postage) so I am not sure if I should bring it up with him or just not buy off him anymore. He has assed up before, he had the same game (I mean the same cart) listed up, I won (what I thought) was 3 copies of the game, 1 for me, the other's to go elsewhere. When I got the games, I only got 2. I had a closer look and realised he had the same cart up twice, he puts a 4 digit code on the cart and advert on ebay. I emailed him and it wasn't till I said "Negative Feedback" did he reply and refund me.
Shit I just convinced myself not to buy from him again.......
Sure is nice living in Canada. Only the good US sellers bother to ship up north. :D

Well, my point still stands, sort of. Most eBay complaints I've heard come from US residents, both buyers and sellers. I haven't heard much from Canadian citizens and over the years of my eBay buying, I've only been burned a few times. Maybe I'm just lucky? =/
I just bid on SMK for SNES tonight because I never see it in the wild, and it is one of the missing pieces in my collection. A used game store is asking $24.99 for it nearby, but I figure if I can get it from Ebay for cheaper, all the better.Quote:

I was always happy to, and I didn't double the shipping cost like do many others do. Only bought one thing out of ebay (if you don't count tradera, but yeh, only bought from swedes and 1 german there so..) and it was an m-audio xponent. Everything worked fine, and I had no complications. Though there seems to be alot of idiot-sellers on ebay.
lol jinxed myself. I got a NES last night, packed extremely well. I had a new 72 pin connector to install, but I thought I would try without fitting it. Eventually got it going but the video had lines through it and audio was off. Opened it and went "Oh snap" this thing has been apart before, odd screws, screws in the wrong place all the locating pins snapped off. It had odd caps on the board and also when whoever put it back together crushed a cap between the shielding and the board. I tried the new connector anyway and same thing. When you play it about 30 seconds in, the console freezes (video) and audio buzzes. Fuckin great. Control port 1 was also smashed in.
Oh well I have had a great run on ebay lately (apart from the minor stuff) so it was about due to get reamed.....

I've never had a bad transaction on ebay so, I'm not too sure what all the hate is about. There are still some good deals to be found.
