I was impressed with this review actually. The Nerd hasn't had a decent episode in a long long time and I felt this was the closest he got. I don't think I found more then 1 thing funny in it, but it was still interesting to watch. I really wish he would've just cut the last 40 or so seconds off the end of the review. That ending was garbage.

Looks like the movie is going to be incredibly mediocre. I really hope that he at least wasted all $300K+ that he ebegged off his fans.
Movie looks like it'll be fun & amusing from the trailers actually.
I thought the trailer looked quite fun, actually. I mean, jeez - all other Internet reviewers would kill to be able to make a production on that level. Those donations certainly paid off...it should be a nice bit of amusing fluff anyway. I don't know why you'd expect anything more than that, honestly - it's a niche thing that Hollywood studios wouldn't touch with a barge pole.
Mind you, if Jesse Pinkman's dad is going to make a Youtube video saying that it's shit, then I guess it's shit.
I also second the call for a Game Sack movie. It could just be 90 minutes of "Hey Dave! How ya doin'?"
I can't wait to see the movie, it looks pretty good... Except for the all-of-a-sudden new characters. I thought that was a bit dumb. Why not include Kyle Justin and Mike Matei? You know, people that have actually been in the web series. Or put Mike in a costume like they usually do. I'm not a big fan of the new characters...
Aside from that, I do actually want to see this movie. I'll probably buy the DVD as well.

Regardless of how you feel about the AVGN movie, anyone who would use THIS guy to justify his own opinion is a complete fool. Additionally, anyone who can watch that trailer and get the impression that James squandered all the money that was given to him clearly doesn't understand how quickly $300,000 is spent while making a movie. Hell, even a budget of over three times that amount is what I believe called a "shoestring" budget.Quote:

The trailer met and went beyond my expectations. Seemed to have lots of people, locations, action scenes etc. in it. I didn't get much humour though, but it will probably be in the movie.

Exactly what I was expecting, except for the lack of Mike and Kyle. Will probably be a fun movie as long as it has the freaking E.T. review in it.
As for a GameSack movie, I really think we need to do a better job of spreading it's awesomeness around before a movie is made. Such a shame how the best things are sometimes so little known.
I have faith this is going to be awesome; pretty much everything AVGN does is hilarious, so I can't see this NOT being funny or enjoyable.

I think the movie looks great! Reminds me of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, where the movie is aware of itself and it's not taking itself too seriously. It totally looks like it was filmed for a Sega CD game. An HD Sega CD game! Ha! I'm impressed! For any haters out there, you can do better? Do it then! Prove to us you can do it better!!
