How many of you have noticed your fave artist/band mention SEGA or the Mega Drive in there music? There's the obvious B.I.Gbut what others do you guy know about? Spread your knowledge guys!Quote:

Here's one from me-
^Just so you know, his reference to the Sega Genesis isn't a favorable one. He refers to himself, in brief, as having returned and being cool; not as a ghost, nor like the 16-bit Sega Genesis. (In other words, he refers to the 16-bit Sega Genesis as being, both, dead and uncool ;)).
So, I'm not too thrilled he mentioned my favorite gaming console of all time with such distaste in that song. :(
There is a rap song about Sega Saturn but I can't remember who the hell it was. Republica mentions Megadrive in Bloke.
Jump Around by House of Pain......line goes something like....."try to play me out, as if my name was SEGA....
House of Pain's "Jump" mentions it.

Nah my nigga, that's not how he references it in "Juicy", homeslice. You see, when he was dead broke and making no money, even the relatively cheap SNES & Genesis were out of his reach. This was circa-1993/1994. They must've still cost $100-$150 back then. He probably had an Atari or NES. By 1994, NES was already considered old-school according to that movie "The Wackness" (want to see it).Quote:

Lol. Well, pardon my blunt Hip Hop ignorance, but Lupe Fiasco's The Cool was recorded in 2007. Go Go Gadget Flow makes no mention of the SNES. But, since you put it that way, then I must say that my statement remains and that I must add that the verses refer also to his preference of the Super Nintendo over the Sega Genesis during the 16-bit era.Quote:
