You're calling console gamers idiots, instead of rationally seeing the two sides of their situation, or what I've said about it:
"Developers: Would rather make more money, spend less on production, and hit the largest audience. This means practically abandoning the PC market in terms of 'advancement' and releasing the 'same product' on consoles with a larger install base."
"Gamers: Would sooner buy the games they want on a console because the PC games generally require more effort to set up compared to a console. Also, the PC developers aren't exactly pushing the limits on requirements anymore, despite what is capable on modern bleeding edge hardware. Thus, the games are marginally better looking & on standard/common hardware, they're scaled back to be comparable to consoles anyway."
Console gamers don't give a shit about the PC gaming market. Why should they? It's being smothered to death by developer abandonment, and that has somehow mislead you to blaming the wrong group.
