Shinobi Legions is OK, not great. It's actually pretty cheesy in a Street Fighter: The Movie kinda way.

Panzer Dragoon is also OK, but not really any better than the loads of other rail shooters out there. The only thing I find cool about it is the Shadow of the Colossus-like gameplay-based story telling.

Clockwork Knight 2 is pretty sweet, but it's virtually the same as Toy Story on the Genesis.

I fell asleep reading the rest of the list.

I think I would rather a Jaguar than a Saturn.

Astal kind of sucks.

It's got awesome 2D graphics, typical voice-overs that are 'good', and side scrolling platforming that barely has any variation. All the praise it gets is absolutely absurd.
Whenever I listen to 'pickup' advice & expand my saturn collection, it always ends up turning out to be a disappointment.

I break out Metal Slug every now and then, but more often than not it sits in it's box.

Among my favorite games on Saturn are Sega Rally, Saturn Bomberman, Legend of Oasis, Shinobi Legions, Baku Baku, Keio Flying Squadron 2, Panzer Dragoon Zwei, Golden Axe: The Duel, X-Men: Children of the Atom, and Guardian Heroes.

Many classics were later also ported to PS1 (see Darius Gaiden, Thunder Force V, Grandia, Lunar, Dead or Alive), Dreamcast (Daytona, Capcom and SNK 2D games) or even PS2 (Panzer Dragoon 1, Last Bronx), but the ones I listed are still unique to Saturn.

Because of the great number of Saturn games available on other platforms, a Saturn isn't exactly a good choice if you aren't interested in having more than three consoles hooked up to your TV.

Of all the Sega consoles, I would usually recommend buying Mega Drive, Master System (converter) and Dreamcast first before buying a Saturn, but there is a good number of great games, most of them being Japanese exclusives, so it definitely helps having your Saturn chipped for CD-R support.

Moto Racer doesn't look much better than that. They're two completely different games as well. Hang-On GP 95 is based on the Super Hang-On arcade franchise, while Moto Racer is circuit bike racing. Moto Racer was designed around mindless balls to the wall racing, while Hang-on is about mastering each track down to the finest detail; Manx TT was the same way.

Because every ignorant outsider lists the same crap games. Nights is alright, but I wouldn't even consider it in my top 10 Saturn games. Seriously, name a better pinball game, on the PSX or Dreamcast, than Last Gladiators or Digital Necronomicon on the Saturn.

Great, you've got a bunch of burned crap. I, on the other hand, own over 85 titles; I pretty much have the cream of the crop for the Dreamcast.

Record of Lodoss War is a decent Diable clone, but it's still fairly boring. Ferrari F355 is a nice looking, but totally unfun racing game. Heavy Metal Geomatrix is a poorly done (overhyped crap) ripoff of Virtual-on. Blue Stinger is just plain boring. Space Channel 5 is pretty much Parrapa the Rappa (minus personality) with prettier presentation. Sega GT is a poor attempt to compete with Gran Tourismo. D2 is a mess of a survivor horror game. Seaman is plain horrible. VOOT is a much better looking game than the Saturn game, but the presentation is sort of lacking and it takes away from the charm the first game had. Jet Grind Radio has great presentation and nice artwork, but the gameplay isn't mind shattering great. Carrier is one turd of a game. Ultimate Fighting Championship didn't live up to the hype. Bomberman Online is alright, but I prefer Saturn Bomberman. Ecco the Dolphin has serious camera issues that totally suck the fun out of the game. Confidential Mission is a cool light-gun game, but you have to be one of the lucky people to have a television that actually works with the peripheral. Samba De Amigo is okay, but it's not the great game every DC owner claims it to be. And Skies of Arcadia is the most over-hyped RPG since Breath of Fire.

Their both good systems, Imo I would get the Saturn if its unlocked as it would be harder to get later then the Dc would. I see Dc's on craigslist everyday with games for 25bucks. Of course if you only care about 3d then the DC is for you as the Saturn is most impressive with 2d games.

Moto Racer is the most fun I've had playing a motor cycle racing game without combat (Road Rash). Don't inflate the prestige of Hang-On GP 95, it's a poorly programmed piece of trash. Look at that animation, garbage.

So the Saturn library is so pathetic you have to resort to...PINBALL to drag its name out of the mud? wow. If I want to play pinball, I'll play actual pinball. I'm in disbelief they even have pinball video games, I'm amazed we haven't had video games where you control someone playing another game (oh wait, Shenmue.)

I own a good 25 or so complete DC games, I was just pointing out there are tons of great games I've been introduced to lately and my burned copies exceed my store bought ones.

Claiming how many physical copies you have doesn't even make sense in this argument, it's purely number of games you have experienced to a reasonable extent. Hell, I wouldn't even need to own a DC at all for this argument if my friend had one that I played on a regular basis.

DC is no slouch with 2D either. Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2, MVC 2, Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves, Guilty Gear X (import), SF III Third Strike, Super SF II Grand Master Challenge (AKA Turbo), Super Puzzle Fighter, Puyo Puyo Fever (AWESOME import), etc. etc.

Yeah, and there are plenty of Saturn titles that run circles around, for example, Cannon Spike.
