Is Herwog Zwei a good purchase?

Comparison of apples and oranges: they both suck. I prefer bananas.

I'd only get Herzog Zwei if you have somebody else to play it with. Multiplayer is a blast, single player is really nothing to write home about and it gets old fast.

It's pretty good as long as you play against a human opponent. Getting used to the interface and controls takes time though.
