SNES not switching on

Hi, i received a Super Nintendo from my cousin but it doesn't work

it's a Euopean version

i checked the fuse and it seems to be ok

so what can i do to repair it?

See if the power supply gives out anything... if not you probably got a broken wire, if you do and fuse is ok then a dead 7805 or some kind of short after the 7805... or just broken switch... there's quite a few possiblities

ok so i have some questions:

in the input of the fuse i got 18V (left side) and in the output i got 0v (right side)it is ok?

in the input of the 7805 i got -0.33v and in the output 0v it's not good right?

the switch doesn' t affect the voltage

The fuse is blown, the voltage reading must be same on both sides :)

i need a 1.5 A or i can buy something else?

You can just install a wire over it like i've done ^^

You need at least 1.5A, having less can result in it blowing up and more not blowing up all all then needed. I will still go by wire aka too much aka does not blow up :P

ok i put a wire instead the fuse now i have 18v in both sides

for the 7805 i got exactly the same voltage: input 0.33v and in the output 0v

i need to change it too?

Something is shorted out in the SNES, the diode bridge perhaps....

i have in the + input 17v on the - input 0 v and the last ones 7.5v in the diode bridge

the big capacitor the 2200 micro is opened a little on the top but the pin + of it i have 15v

The capacitor is broken ? Someone has given that SNES much more power than needed.... I think the 7805 is dead.

i have a L7805C-V one and the one in the SNES is MC7805C can i change with this one or not?

You have to replace the capacitor too if you want things to work. Voltage and µF rating can be higher but not lower, not the voltage rating.

And the L7805C-V will work just fine.

i change the 7805 with a new one but i always got the same voltage on it :(

I guess the diode bridge is blown there instead...

if the diode bridge is blown why i got voltage in the + pin and the oter pin too?

What voltage did you got on the left side pin of 7805 ? And check resistance between the ground and right side pin (it must not be 0ohm).
