I'm also curious how much time you put into both X-Men games? I know I've owned them both back in the day as they were released. So I've put enough time into both, but mostly part 1. Because replay in X-Men 2 just wasn't that high for me with it's lamer game development design.
The same team did do that Spiderman TAS later, but the good SNES version. As I doubt they were the ones that finished the much less refined Genesis version (the earliest beta has great controls/gameplay as the SNES, then it all went downhill with later revisions. My guess is a different team took over). I remember renting the SNES version a few times until I beat it and had a really great time with it. Best Spiderman game I've played. Wanted to buy it back then. Wasn't till much later that I found out it was from same team as X-Men. "No wonder is was awesome." I thought.
Meanwhile the X-Men 2 team also made Taz Escape from Mars. And I doubt it's as good as that SNES Spiderman game, because that dev team really isn't that good from the looks of X-Men 2. But can't say for sure as I haven't player Escape from Mars yet past first level or so.
