Title: from: Link's Crossbow Seller, if you have a heart, please read.
Dear [lady's name or screen name],
As you may or may not be aware, I have been banned from the Amazon marketplace due to an accusation that I am a seller of bootlegged merchandise. I assure you that the disc I sold you is not a fake or bootleg and is 100% authentic, just like the merchandise I sold to my previous 100 satisfied customers. I purchased the Wii Zapper [time] ago from [store] for use with [game] and had no interest in Link's Crossbow Training, so I put it aside.
Well, due to the poor economy, I was laid off from my job [time] ago and have yet to be able to find another one since the economy has yet to improve in my area. With no other options, I have been selling any and all items I can part with on Amazon.com to make ends meet. If my account remains banned, I may have to [foreclose on house or be unable to pay rent, depending on what your housing status is] because my primary source of income will have been taken away.
I completely understand why you were suspicious of my disc when it didn't work properly in your Wii, and after doing some research I discovered that there is either a high defect rate in this particular game or an unusual glitch in the Wii hardware that makes it unplayable on some Wii systems. A person on Nintendo's own technical support forums had the same problem you are experiencing and reports others having the same problem:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&client=safari . If you'll notice, the date on that post is long before our transaction so there is no way I could've forged or doctored that post in any way and I'm sure further searching would reveal more people having this unusual read problem.
If you still question the authenticity of the disc, feel free to take it to a GameStop or other game retailer and compare it to the merchandise they sell. A bootleg copy would have a blue or purple tint to the bottom as bootlegs are burned on CD burners rather than being pressed by a very expensive professional CD press used for commercial discs. You can also compare the disc to the stock photos on other websites that sell Link's Crossbow Training and see that the products look identical. I completely understand and sympathize with your initial impression that this was a bootlegged game, but I assure you it is not and if you do not repeal your claim with Amazon my account will remain banned and the inability to sell my items could very well put me and my wife out on the street. Please, if you have a heart, ask a game store employee to verify its authenticity or try it in another Wii and repeal your claim. You are the only person that can have my account reinstated.
Sincerely,
[Real name or screen name]
