Sega Zone , the "New" sega console :wtf: ....Does anyone have it ?

I saw this at the Hong Kong Electronics show a few weeks ago. The Sega side of things is the same Firecore emulation we've seen in countless other devices.
The 'Wii' side of things are nearly all knock-off Wii Sport type mini games. Surprisingly, it's not that terrible when it comes to motion consoles. Not Wii quality, but better than you'd expect for a cheap pirate system.
That article is wrong - it doesn't emulate a Wii, it uses a wireless remote that look similar to a wiimote, but that's it. It's yet another FireCore emulated MD with both SEGA MD games AND those shitty FireCore games together with the wireless remote controller.
yep, some months ago, just on that website. i can't understand why everybody thinks it's a new sega's console..
it's just a stupid zone40 under sega's licence. So what?
in last years were relased many 3rd party consoles emulating genesis HW under license, think about the blaze's mega drive, wich at least supports original cartridges, but most important it doesn't look like built with chinese carcinogenic plastics, what about these nice nomad-like handheld? (wich aren't the greatest thing ever, but surely better than a zone..)
This zone is the CRAPPIEST 3rd party product, but every fu**tard screams to sega's return in hardware. WHY!?! just because they slapped in an infrared wiimote's clone, i guess.
People stupidity is outrageous o_O
People should realize that "licensed by Sega" and "Made by Sega" are two completely and far different things.
The comments on that page are hilarious and sad at the same time.
:?
Would anyone here want to own it?
Yep, they keep taking Sega's name in vain....I mean, how is Sega suppose to built a good rep with these things popping up all over the place :shame:....
(personally)... Why would I? I own a Wii and a Genesis and if I was part of the demographic that couldn't own a gaming system because of multiple reasons: work, pay, time, being on the other side of the world, then I'd just rather not even mess with it.
For non enthusiasts though... who simply want a gift for a younger member of the family... I can see this being a decent option if nothing else.
I guess the only good part is that playing Genesis games w/ wireless controllers is kind of a cool and novel experience for many people. The actual Genesis wireless controllers were extremely rare / mostly unknown, so if most people really want wireless Genesis, it's gonna have to be on some kind of modern contraption!!!
Disappointing that it's the same shotty emulation as the others......
I already own a GenMobile, so it contain 20 of the 50 games already (And all the Genesis ones).
So there's no interest for me.
And I guess it would be very expensive...
That looks like shit. I wonder why Sega lets them use their brand name.
They sold the Genesis license to AtGames in 2005, before Wii became a success and the Wii's Virtual Console Sega's main source of income.
So yeah, they were old and needed the money.
I'd be interested if there was some kind of interphase for new content. This is more like a fancy plug n play, if you asked me. ;)
