What are the good 2 player (or more) games for Saturn? I know of a few like Bomberman and Guardian Heroes but not too many beyond that. There seems to be a lot of 2p shooters and VS. fighters, which isn't bad by any means but I'd like to know about the games that stray from that.

The funkiness of "Scud: The Disposable Assassin" Is just too awesome. :D You should try it with, both, the 6-button pad and the light-gun. It's one (if not the only one) of the only games that makes use of this multiplayer format.
Let's see, Saturn Bomberman, Guardian Heroes, Die Hard Arcade, no shmups nor vs fighters:
Worms (played this with my friends for years until Mario Kart 64 and F-Zero X took its place)
Three Dirty Dwarves (brawler)
Sega Rally (2P mode is better than in SR2 on Dreamcast actually)
Daytona CCE (although I'd recommend the Dreamcast version)
Baku Baku Animal (very addictive puzzler)
Darius Gaiden & Darius II (yes, those are shmups, but horizontal shmups with 2P modes and on top of that somewhat common and thus easy to find!)
Dungeons & Dragons Collection (excellent Golden Axe clones by Capcom)
Virtua Cop 1 + 2 (great fun for a while, VC 2 was also released for Dreamcast)
Puzzle Bobble 2 (aka Bust-A-Move 2 in the US)
Bubble Symphony
Bubble Bobble feat. Rainbow Islands
Capcom Generation 4 (Gun Smoke, Commando, Mercs)
Tempest 2000 (2P Duel mode)
High Velocity & Touge: King of Spirits 2 (3D racers)
Steet Racer (classic 16-bit Mario Kart clone, of all the countless versions of this game the Saturn version is the best)
Vatlva (multiplayer game with music by Yuzo Koshiro)
Noon (another Japanese multiplayer game)
Nekketsu Oyako (2D Final Fight clone by Technosoft)
Three Wonders: Arcade Gears (2P Capcom arcade fun!)
Kingdom Grand Prix (2D racer/shmup mix for 2 players)
Magical Drop 3 (most addictive puzzler ever!)
Columns Arcade Edition
Trash it (multiplayer game by Rage)
Super Puzzle Fighter II X
Popoitto Hebereke
Puyo Puyo Sun (third game in the Puyo Puyo series aka Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine)
Norse by Norsewest (Lost Vikings 2)
I also remember there being a hidden 2P mode in Legend of Oasis / Story of Thor 2.
NiGHTS has a two player mode.

I think D&D was out before GA. And I think we had beat'em up's before GA.
Considering Golden Axe was released in 1989, and the two D&D games were released in 1993 and 1996, I think Christuserloeser's description was fair.Quote:

Bubble Bobble / Rainbow Islands is great for a nice long 2-player sitting.
For a more "party game" type experience (more than two players, short competitive matches), nothing beats Death Tank Zwei (unlocked in Duke Nukem 3D).
