sega shirts

Whenever I'm in a clothing store like Hot Topic or something I always see countless retro nintendo shirts and a lot of them are pretty good. I've seen many Nes, Snes, Gameboy, and N64 shirts and other shirts/hoodies with classic games and such. I have never come across a good Sega t shirt. All they ever come out with is these lame Sonic shirts. Almost all of the sonic shirts I've come across show the skinny noodle-arm sonic. I saw one that had an outline of Sonic's head with Japanese text under it. Stupid. Wouldn't it be so cool of they made Genesis themed shirts? Or a shirt with the Sega CD logo that said "Welcome to the next level"? Or a shirt with the Game Gear, 32X, or Saturn logo? I'd buy them in a second.

there was an old english advert with a huge dude wearing a fez and some welders goggles and the tag line "Do me a favour, plug me into a SEGA"

I want THAT t-shirt, but id never ever wear it.

I saw some really good SEGA T-Shirts at Hot Topic, namely a Sonic one that was hand-drawn, and I own a Shinobi one from there too that looks nice.

Man, one of these days I gotta get up there and pick up some of those T-Shirts.

Just scored a Sonic "attitude" shirt from K-Mart, check there if they have them in you area. Nothing extremely special but still a Sega shirt.

I got a "Genesis Does What Nintendon't" tshirt from some website somewhere. Nothing special, just the words. Gotten me a few high fives.

I have yet to see a Sonic shirt worthy of public wearing.

Most designs I see are lame.

For some reason I've seen a bunch of Sonic shirts around town in the past year or so. They never used to be common despite the popularity of t-shirts referencing other retro games, but recently the Mario and Zelda shirts are mostly gone and Sonic is everywhere. I guess Sonic has finally reached the magical 20-year mark where things become cool again.

Any shirts I see are the sonic adventure style poses...I just want the classic sonic standing/pointing with a Sega logo somewhere

The bias towards Mario in the retro t-shirt market is terrible. A friend and I deduced the other day that Super Mario is in fact a homosexual, not that there's anything wrong with that.

i love game shirts, only game shirts i have though is a rock band 2 one and a mega man one, in which after me and my ex did something fun, we used it as a sauce rag and it stained the shirt.

Agreed. But it doesn't stop at the t-shirt market. Not so bad, though. Just means Genny/MD stuff is easy to acquire and inexpensive. :cool:

Oh, I have about 15 more reasons. Mostly they are centred around potential embarassment / hassle from strange folks, but there's also the fact that it's probably worth money (even though I only paid £10ish) and then "it's too damn big anyway" would be the least of them. :)

I did have a Sonic shirt though, in the 90s. I was eight or nine and wore it around and didn't give a damn. I believe I had a Turtles one too. :o Friends sometimes asked why I liked "boy stuff", but they were tiny facists. /pitifulanecdote

I've found that DeviantART is great for high-quality logos suitable for shirt printing and such; I can't find a nice, smooth, large-sized example of the Mega Drive logo anywhere, though.

I got one of these iron-on transfers from the early 90's. I don't think I'll ever use it, it would just go to waste after the shirt gets worn out.
