New Contra game(sort of)

Konami is apparently having ARC System Works make a new game along the same vain as Contra Hard Corps.I am really hoping this game is good.There hasn't a Contra game I liked since Hard Corps.

I didn't like Contra Rebirth much, but I thought Contra 4 was awesome. Don't know anything about this ARC company.

Also, why does Konami outsource EVERYTHING now???

Konami outsources everything because they really don't care to do certain games.Capcom does it too, but they are large enough that they can give there unwanted projects to lesser people,e.g. Street Fighter 4.The only thing I hope they do with this game is getting the Hard Corps style music back .The music in that game really tied things together, they should get the old team back, and have them use FM synth.

All I want to know is are they giving Europeans the option to play as this guy :D

I did not like Contra 4 that much but thought ReBirth was PRETTY NEAT.

What bugged me about 4 was that the middle of the screen got you killed a lot. Kind of Nintendo's fault, but you have to blame the developer too for this stuff.

I also hated when they (Contra 4 developers) said Hard Corps sucked and therefore should be ignored. Clearly Hard Corps is better than 3; only cockfags who make shitty DS games would think otherwise.

This bugged the hell out of me.Hard Corps is the best Contra til this day and people still ignore all because it was on the Genesis.Everyone will talk for days about 3, but Hard Corps was where it was at.

I'm gonna get kicked in the balls, but I really don't like Hard Corps. I don't like how it's mainly a boss fest, and I think the graphics are poor. To me, Contra is about run n' gun platforming. And after 3 they forgot that last part(except for 4). Although I do like SS.

That is why Hard Corps is not titled '4'. It is meant to be a bit of a spinoff title.

I really enjoyed all the boss fights and multiple paths. I cannot see what is wrong with the game besides maybe some awkward controls at times.

Edit: I just looked at the link. Er... where is the wolf man with a gattling cannon for an arm? This looks like Contra GayCorps.

Well, Arc aren't known for manly designs, but they got lots o' style. But i'm sure it'll not please everyone. Best it's not called Contra.

I am pretty sure Contra sells itself on being a manly franchise. Not something for transsexuals.

This is just a really stupid way to develop this game. Konami are idiots.

Uh, and WayForward is somehow not good enough? Contra 4 was the best Contra in years, if not ever.

Wait, WayForward hated on Hard Corps? The game was pretty cheap, but I still enjoyed it.

Their retrospective of it in C4's museum seemed to praise it well enough.

Yeah, i've had a hard time figuring out if it or 3 is the best one. They both rock, but 4 has more stages.

Seriously, the easiest way of finding out if someone is a mainstreamer noob is to ask them what Contra game is the best, people who suck at games think Contra IIIs great just because they've only managed to see the first three levels of it and don't realise how short and dissapointing it really is.

Contra III puts up zero fight against Hard Corps, at all.
