I kinda agree on a couple points, though, like Genesis hammering out solid B's and Nintendo releasing a handful of A+ titles. You can't really deny that the SNES was a better value for a kid that can only get maybe 3 games a year. Genesis games are so short (generally) that someone like that would be miserably bored with a game after only a few weeks, whereas the A+ 1st and 2nd party SNES games would take a few weeks to beat and had so much content that you could play them over and over and find out something new each time. I guess what I'm saying is that the Genesis appealed to arcade fans, renters, and people with deep pockets and the SNES appealed to...broke kids.
The DKC thing made me want to vomit, though. Why does everyone keep saying it was advanced? it wasn't, it was just pre-rendered. It's like saying a Toy Story DVD is more advanced than a Lion King DVD.
The whole Sega CD, 32X, Saturn, and DC thing, though, was just terrible. "I don't even think the 32X really exists" REALLY? I have two, jackass.

32x was a bust and they obviously over exaggerate for the sake of T.V. I laughed when dude said he did not think they exist.

Yeah, it was passable until they started talking about the add-ons. The Sega CD had no good games? Come on, even completely ignorant loser hacks who know fuck-all about the SCD library can name off Sonic CD. Give me a break. Donkey Kong Country plays better than anything on the Genesis? Pfft.

I agree. At first the people seemed to know what they were talking about, and then that one guy said the Sega CD had no good games, and that he couldn't name a 32x game, forget it. Tidbit of the day I have never seen a Saturn in my life. I don't know how odd that is but I have literally never seen one or known someone that has owned one.
Also I have never played a Dreamcast I did see a few growing up at friends house etc. just never played it though.
The whole short snippet of history they did, was done in pretty broad strokes. In that context and relative to the Genesis own library, it's fairly accurate statement. You don't sit there and nitpick or make exceptions when compressing something as long as 5 years of history into 8 minutes. Let alone the less than 30 seconds the SegaCD was mentioned.Quote:

Can someone here make a video response to this? Maybe talk about the Virtual Boy, FDS, and N64 DD? Those nerds need to be thrown into a large blast processor. I mean, no one who has any actual experience with the SCD, 32X or anything else Sega made could watch that without vomiting. Did they get all their info from AVGN? The DKC comments were too much. I had to stop it after that. Sadly, those dumbasses represent a good portion of the gaming public.

I can't believe, possibly the only legitimate person on the show who would know all this stuff, got the famous "Genesis does what Nintendon't" ad WRONG. :(
As for the one glasses nerd who talks about the Genesis add-ons, I think it's pretty obvious he never even saw them in action, let alone played them or even saw them in stores.
The overall episode isn't bad, but it would have benefited from real research instead of "remembering" or getting PlayStation kids to remember this thing. Oh well, TV shows are always lesser quality than internet ones these days anyway.

Its typical to get a bunch of tards in any hobby, the ones in the main stream, who belittle anything else. They don't get it they don't even want to try. I just hate how people have forgotten or sim[ly did not exist yet to see how successful the Genesis was. Sure the Snes won out eventually but it took some time. It is like saying that in WWII the Germans were pushovers.

These guys are total posers plain as that. (or rather they were as that show has long been dead)

WTF, they skate over all the major issues and root problems and label many symptoms as the problems as well as totally overlooking some things and being completely misinformed on others. (the Sega CD has about the same as average for game quality distribution, if not above average -it's usually the really popular systems that get inflated with a high percentage of shovelware)Quote:

With the Sega-CD, it would've been better to say something like "there wasn't enough quality software to justify it" instead of "it had nothing worth playing".
