Hardball
Every 32X game except Quarterback Club and NBA Jam
Plenty o' others.
Fucking cheap asses. Paper boxes are for losers. I will always resent whoever made the decision at Sega to go paper. They started doing black and white manual covers even before that.
I'm very glad those crapboard boxes never spawned in Europe like they did in America. I only have Sonic & Knuckles in PAL paperbox. For my NTSC games, the 6-pak is also in paper. My Phantasy Star IV (PAL) is in a plastic clamshell case though. :)
My Phantasy Star IV (NTSC US) is also in a plastic clamshell. I am special.
Indeed you are special, Joe, but it doesn't relate to the fact that you have a NTSC US Phantasy Star IV in a plastic clamshell case.
so I guess it's safe to assume all releases in late '94 to '95 were in the crappy paper box?
Some games where rereleased in to a paper box, like the mega hits games, and I saw a sonic 2 in a cardboard box.
Yes there are two varients of the game it seems.
Pretty much all 32X games, save from the Japanese versions, came in card boxes.
There's too many to list. There were alot of reissues into cardboard boxes, as well as new releases.
Some of the reissues I have or have passed through my hands are:
Risk
Clue
Monopoly
Urban Strike
6-Pak
Hard Drivin
Race Drivin
Castlevania Bloodlines
I also have these in cardboard boxes but they are original AFAIK:
Wacky Worlds
Blockout
Battle Squadron
They came in cardboard boxes too. I think the Japanese Acclaim games came in plastic cases. Not positive, but I'll check.Quote:

Yes it does. I wasn't very special at all before I had the NTSC US Phatnasy Star IV in a plastic clamshell case. Ask my mom.Quote:

The Acclaim games sold for the Japanese Super 32X, did come in plastic cases.
Look at the NFL Quarterback Club in this pic:

In Brazil, Tec Toy sold Master System and Mega Drive games in paper case too. This fact occur in 1989 to 1991.
After the Game Gear´s release in my country in 1991 all the Sega systems produced by Tec Toy had his paper cases replaced for plastic cases.
The 6-Pak, Virtua Fighter and Shinning Force II was released in my country by Tec Toy in plastic cases.
