Toxic Crusaders.
Just kidding - it was Sonic Spinball. I got my MD second hand and this is what came with it. Just as a went to walk out of the door with my shiny new MD under my arm, the seller said "oh wait, there's another game too". It was Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude.
I think the next day I traded it in for some money off Sonic 3.
-
Streets of Rage II in 2006. It's what ultimately got me hooked on the Genesis. :D
-
Mine is altered beast.............
But first game (US) I bought was Ghouls N Ghosts; first import game was Batman
-
Sonic 1 and for some reason Marble Zone will always be ingrained in my child hood memories.
-
1990 = 1st games were received together, they were Altered Beast (pack-in) & Golden Axe.
-
1989 they were of course Altered Beast but the ones bought were, Ghouls n' Ghosts, Thunder Force 2, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, and Space Harrier 2
-
My first game was Sonic 1, not surprising it was bundled with the system.
First game I bought after that was Decap Attack.
-
My Pack-In was Sonic 2, but the first game I got separately was either World of Illusion or Ecco the Dolphin. It was a long time ago (1994, I think), so it's hard to remember, especially considering I was only about five years old.
-
Sonic 2 when i got my first genesis back in 93.
-
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and Golden Axe. :D
-
I had the Aladdin and Mega Games 1 collection. Mega Games 1 with Super Hang On, Football World Cup 90s and Columns.
-
I rented it back in the day. I think it was in rental stores before anywhere else. Altered Beast and maybe Ghouls and Ghosts.
-
I didn't get my Genesis until around '99 I believe it was. First game I picked up for it was from a local pawn shop and it was a good one to start with. TMNT:Hyper Stone Heist.
-
I finally got my beloved Sega Mega Drive on Xmas 1993, when I was 10yrs old. It came bundled with Sonic 1 and my dad also got me The Terminator and World Cup Italia '90 to go with it. It was officially the best Xmas ever! :)
-
Sonic 2 pack-in. X-men, and Arcade's Revenge all on Christmas morning.
-
We got Sonic 1 with the Mega Drive, then pretty soon a used copy of a Genesis version of Sonic 2. But a few months later, my aunt gave me some money (don't remember if it was for a birthday or something else) and I added some of my own to that and got World of Illusion. That has always felt like my true first Mega Drive game. Still have that copy and I still play it :)
-
It was either sonic 2 or ecco the dolphin. No idea what year it was maybe 93 or 92. But those were the first 2 games I had.
-
Altered Beast was packed in with my Model 1, but I slapped in Battle Squadron first for some hi-fidelity 16-bit shooting action. Sword of Sodan was part of the trio that I received on my birthday, and even though Sodan is legendarily shit, it still managed to half impress me at the time, lol. Coming from 8-bit 7800 and Master System stuff, the new tech was impressive anyway just by virtue of the giant sprites hobbling around and grunting realistically.
-
i got sanic 1 and mega games 1 with my megadrive
its a miracle i actually wanted to play more megadrive games after that
-
Starflight... or Might and Magic II, but I am pretty sure it was Starflight.
-
Pack in game: Golden Axe, which i found utterly disappointing. First purchased game, Shadow Dancer NTSC-J, which i LOVED, although it was a completely different game from the arcade System 18 one. Funny that they did that.
-
Sonic 1 pack in. After that it was Sports Talk Baseball, Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic 2 all around the same time.
-
The 1st game that I ever bought with my pocket money on the Mega Drive was Revenge Of Shinobi on its Pal launch.
-
The first Genesis games I actually owned? IMG International Tennis, Jurassic Park, and Paperboy, received all at once for free (along with Doom 32X).
The first one I played? Aladdin, I think.
-
My first Genesis game? Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 1 and Golden Axe 1
I played very much these games^^
-
-
Sonic 2 in the basement on my cousin's Genesis. Good memories.
-
Sonic 1 was included with the console, but I also bought Rocketknight Adventures the day I got my Mega Drive. I had already played Sonic at my firends' house, and I was really impressed by Sparkster from a promotional VHS.
-
Streets of Rage 2. And to this day still my favorite Genesis game.
First game I bought with my own money was Bulls vs Lakers.
