Metal Sonic was the best part of Shadow Dancer.
If Metal Sonic WAS in Shadow Dancer that bad ass ninja wouldn't even bother to fight him, he'd just feed him to his dog. No, not even his dog, he'd feed Metal Sonic to his dog after it got done fighting a real enemy and was still a puppy.
I can see why they left that other title screen out. Little kids would have been shitting their pants and crying before they even pressed start.
Sega obviously left the other title screen out to deprive little children of menu options. Shadow Dancer is lacking in how many title screens it offers because Sega was stupid.
I love this thread. It is truly unflushable.
I've been away for a long time... so happy to see this thread has survived the tribulations!
I, too, love Shadow Dancer - though probably not as much as the OP whose passion for it may border on... unhealthy.
Why? I love the one hit kill, precision style of the game. Besides, I cannot for the love of all that is holy beat Shinobi 3 and I have never played Revenge so... yeah, Shadow Dancer wins!
(P.S. - Any other Shadow Dancer-style games for the Genesis I should try?)
Dance in the shadows
do you ever think your not good enough,
and that you dont fit in
do you ever think you weak and not tough
and that you cant ever win
So dance in the shadows so no one can see
dance in the shadows and you'll be free
dance in the shadows just to be you
dance in the shadows so your not blue
do you think your always alone
and you want someone there
do you think all your chances have been blown
and that no one cares
So dance in the shadows to let it all out
dance it the shoadows and mess about
dance in the shadows to show that you dont care
dance in the to show you can bear
let them see the real you
prove to them you fine and let it be
show them that your not blue
because you dance in the shadows and you became free

im trying to make a video of my gameplay for shadow dancer but I need some cord that will hook up to my tv so I can get it to work on my computer.
I can't even make the damn video now it doesn't even work on my computer :(
What are you using to make the video?
After reading this thread I was compelled to try and beat this game. I have been playing for 2-3 days now and I can get to the last level without dieing on normal. For some unknown reason I cannot beat the final boss. I plan on actually beating this game this weekend. Amazing game I never really gave it much chance when it originally was released. It is turning into one of my favorite games on the system.
