Hi there guys i just made a sonic Megamix cover, for the mega-cd, this was my first true photoshop work, so i just wanted to know what you guys think:

This pic is on low quality 640*428, as i want to keep this one exclusive for me XD, but the original file is HD quality 3225*2156 to be exact.
So tell me guyswhat do you think?
I like everything about it except for the silly new Sonic design.
Dreamcast era Sonic really doesn't fit with a 16bit design.

I don't like the logo you've used - it's too generic...
i wanted to use an old sonic sprite, but the only .png i could find was the old sonic 1 sprite, and that doesnt really cut it, if anyone could find one, please post it, il gladly change it.
For the logo, what is the one you think its generic? I mean i was trying to get an old feel thats why i use the classic sonic logo.
Just because Goooooogly doesn't show it on its first page doesn't mean it doesn't exist :p

I think it looks real nice. Personally I'm also not a fan of the modern-looking Sonic, but it's one of the better pics of modern-Sonic. (At least he's not waving his hands around in weird gestures, like usual.)Quote:

I saw the website and it was almost great, the pics are great, but the resolution is quite low, i would need at least a 1000*xxx pic, mininal a 800*xxx pic any lower than that it requires me to raise the pic resolution and it gets pixelated. and i dont want that.
The classic American logo is generic,the japanese one is MUCH better:

I think it looks decent but change the "megamix" font to something better
Very good for a first true Photoshop work. I would do the following:
1. Drop DC-Sonic (and delete the file from your HDD, it doesn't deserve to exist).
2. Make the Mega-Mix logo stand out more, it's like it's hiding in the water on the front.
3. Fill out the black space next to the EU flag. Make the text longer, bigger fontsize... Anything.
I've acctually been looking for a Sonic Megamix case thats in a standard dvd case size. If anyone knows any lmk.

Yeah I used newer Sonic sprites for my Sega CD cover too ( http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthr...egamix&page=10 ). I had to do it because I wanted to include all the characters, and there is no oldschool art of Shadow and no decent art of Mighty.
I think the Sonic sprite you have on the front looks good, it fits well with the background. Maybe just change the Mega Mix font to make it more noticeable.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the same background... just looks a little different ;)

Needs two things: Different logo and classic Sonic. Anything from the 1998 re-design won't mesh well with it.
