Even though they do look really cool, they are Chinese cheaply made...You'll be lucky to find them in good working condition... keep in mind that they were free at some point though :sonic: :

Yeah, I have a pair of them.
They are really solid and heavy - with the full metal case construction.
The sound quality was realy good for portable speakers back in 1990.
Too bad mine stopped working at some point. I've tried to get them open but the tiny screws are fused tight.

I used to have two pairs (you have to buy three games and cut out UPC) but I end up with one pair in hand. It's a collector item :)
If your speakers stopped working just put your electrical meter on the terminals and read the Ohms. It is likely your meter will tell you that the connection is wide open which means the speaker is blown and needs to be re-coned. This can't be done cheaply. If both speakers aren't working, then it is likely the fault of the electronics before the signal reaches the actual cone. Put the meter on each speaker's terminals anyway. Or just head down to the local Goodwill where they keep a stock of these at all times for $2 per pair.
