im pretty confused on which MMORPG i should get World of Warcraft or Everquest?:daze:
Well i recently got EQ2 and it seems pretty fun although if you have an ATI card its going to give you problems. VPU....yuck:( Anyway from what little I've been able to play EQ2 it seems to be more adult oriented or rather realistic looking. Graphics are less cartoony and things like that. WoW seems to run easier on most computers and will most likely be the one I stick with. However if ya want I can hook ya up with a free server for Lineage II that boosts xp and money :)
So I want to like EQ2 but not sure I can deal with all the bugs. So unfortunatly I'd have to give the nod to WoW. In wow I'm on the HAKKAR server Horde side. Look up Khaiz, Cylock, or Cephaz and I'll get ya started. No 60's in WoW yet don't waste too much time in it. In EQ2 I think my toons are on Venekor but not sure. Let me know which one you pick.
i'm trying to save up for WoW but i found a deal for the EQ2 and the exspanion for $10.00 !!!! So im stuck between choseing one of them. My freind plays WoW to so i could just get both. Whats the daily price for EQ2?
Guild Wars has no monthly fee...... ;-)
I'm not into MMOs, but most of my friends play WoW over EQ 2. WoW is more user friendly and judging from reviews, screenshots, ect. much more of a quality game.
WoW gets better ratings because people who have never played a MMORPG can play it. Everquest 2 takes some getting use to or it did. Now its dumbed itself down to WoW's area. My feeling is that Everquest 1 and Dark Age of Camelot are still the kings there just being replaced by shinier versions is all. WoW could be great but we'll see. Burning Crusade will be a crucial point in WoW's lasting appeal.
Most MMORPGs have very steep learning curves and the initial impressions come off as very alienating. WoW is indeed much more accessible compared to the others and easier to get into. I also love the graphics in WoW, it's consistant with the past games in the series and while rivals like Guild Wars may look more realistic, they just lack the personality and charm present in the Warcraft universe.
The appeal of Guild Wars is mostly how refined and well-planned the PVP is. It's much less level/gear-based and depends more on the skills of the players.
SWEET!!! Thats great to know! I thought i might have give like $15 amonth for it or something.Quote:

NP. Enjoy! Be aware that WoW sometimes has problems with server queues and lag. But the in-game environment and economy is much better off than my other MMO addiction (FFXI)
Nobody is forcing you to play on servers that are filled to the breaking point. It's much better to start off on a server with low/recommended population, preferably a newly opened one which isn't riddled with full epixxx lvl60s.
My freind is like dieing(hope i spelt that right) to get that he wont stop bugging me about.
When you see crowds of people wearing the best possible gear you can get all the time, it kind of loses its novelty very quickly.
yhea i would guess so.
I'm going to go ahead and say BOTH are boring and repetitive. :D
