Wonder Boy is all you need.
But in addition:
Out Run is great and one of my most played MS games.
Spellcaster (Kujaku-O) is a really neat action RPG.
Zillion is just class and has some of the best tunes ever.
Wonder Boy III is what Wonder Boy II should have been.
Sonic the Hedgehog is better than the Mega Drive version.
Space Harrier might be very chunky but there is something magical about it.
Edit:
Forgot to mention Phantasy Star which is just epic. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as Ys (as I'm more of an action-RPGer) but it's great.

Never knew the Sega Mastersystem had so many great games.
Though it's a bit unpolished in some ways, I found Rambo III to be very enjoyable. It makes good use of rapid fire with the SMS light gun and has some unique aspects to it like using the grenades to find hidden items. I also like how the grenades can harm civilians.Quote:

Well, after some time i got my PBC and it came with a game:Altered Beast, which IMO is a crappy game.
Ninja Gaiden is my highest recommendation for the Master System, I find better than all the NES Ninja Gaiden games. It's easier, better looking, with great music, and no slowdown what so ever on a system known to run at like 15 fps most of the time ;)
Truly a work of art.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Miracle Warriors, but its not a good game.

Kenseiden is good, granted; but when it comes to SMS Castlevania there is only Master of Darkness. The game looks and feels like a Castlevania hack.^^Quote:

I reckon those are the worst of the 3-D games. Missile Defence 3D, Line of Fire, Posieden Wars and Space Harrier are the best ones.Quote:

Yeh spellcaster I loved that game sonic 1 classic! Alex in miracle world, shinobi I only had a few games but they seemed to last forever they were hard as hell ESP alex
Really? I think they could've done a better job with the graphics based on the inspiration. The NES games had this slanted 3D-ish perspective to the backgrounds making them more interesting to look at, locations had more detail and originality to them and especially the enemies were more memorable with somewhat bigger sprites. As for music I don't think it comes close to the first NES game, but it's not bad. I hate how the music starts over when you move from one area to the next within a level though.Quote:
