Every time Zoltor talks about the inner politics of corporations like Square and Sony, I can't help but laugh.

No, Square went to Sony because Nintendo shit on themselves by offering a bad development platform, with an expesive and bottlenecked storage medium.
The reason Square makes the games they do, is because the old graphics and archaic game play don't sell as good... because they've been done already and aren't entertaining.

Omg, I hate that BS as well(big game lot, so I go to chack it out, and 99% of the games are sports).

I think the lack of any educational relevance, or accurate non-fiction being put forward in modern gaming is something that lessens it's appeal.

-The lack of local multiplayer modes on many next-gen games. And no, system link doesn't count. I want split-screen
-Nintendo's dirty tactics in the 80's and early-to-mid-90's. Not allowing other publishers to release their games on other systems until 2 years and the Night Trap-Mortal Kombat stuff in which Nintendo complained that Sega was not "family-friendly" and that they had more "violent" games but then releasing Mortal Kombat 2 uncensored on their system to kick the Genesis version in terms of sales? Family-friendly MY FUCKING ASS! Night Trap didn't have any explicit violence. Bionic Commando's ending did. Night Trap didn't have any adult content. Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode did have an implied sex scene. So where is your "family-friendly" now, Nintendo? Huh? So, basically what Rusty said
-The fact that journalists and lots of gamers praise Nintendo left and right, and that many Top [insert number 5-100 here] contain basically all games published and/or developed by Nintendo
-EA's previous holding of the exclusive NASCAR license for games, effectively screwing over great games like the NASCAR Racing series (way more realistic than those crappy EA NASCAR games) and Daytona USA's recent arcade re-release (Sega Racing Classic) losing the Daytona name in EVERYTHING (even the lyrics)
-When the SOB(s) responsible for the sound during the development of the game decides to include a motherfreaking HOWIE SCREAM (or any of it's variants) in a game (seriously, who the heck was responsible for the sound on Modern Warfare 2? A Howie scream lovin' sound engineer?)
-The battery life of the PSP
-The really expensive price of games (original, not pirated) and accessories over here. Seriously, for the price you guys can get the complete Rock Band kit we over here can barely get the GUITAR for that price, instead having to rely on third-party accessories (which, in the case of the 360, is no good)

I just hate it as well when Nintendo fanboys bash the Genesis for no apparent reason, and it's even more annoying when they haven't even PLAYED the damn system. I do prefer the Genesis over the SNES as well, but, like you, I do have some favorites

I hear you on this one, it's even worse now.Every game is now written by somebody we are supposed to care about, but they are missing the reason people play games.I'll read a book if I want a good story.

Lol that's an understatement, for example, why in the hell is there any dialog/voice acting going on in FPS, just get to the ******* action, and die already. I can think of about a million other ways to spend the space/effort(more maps, more music, more weapons, exc).

Seriously, If It's not a RPG, Action/RPG or an Action/Adventure game, noone gives a flying **** about story or char personality.

Actually he managed to get Atari back in the black during the mid-late 80s; the 2600 continued to sell well and the 7800 didn't do too bad either. Yes, he did cheapen out on a few things (mainly game development), but you gotta give him credit for making Atari profitable again.
