I like the artwork too but you're killing your game selection by keeping Sonic 1 cart over the 6 pak. However, what you really ought to do is keep the 6 pak in your system and just swap it with any of the 22 games in the box you want to play. Now you have 23 and get can both TF4 and Ranger X!

anyway, when I watch youtube vids I find ranger x WAY more interesting looking then thunderforce to be honest.. It al looks quite the same where ranger x is quite inovative. But this is purely based on videos and I haven't played both of them. My question is, if you really had to choose, wich one would you pick and also why?
While it's true that Ranger-X is more original and innovative, it's also less accessible than Thunder Force IV due to its quirky controls.
Also, it's more of a run 'n gun than a shmup, a genre in which you already have several titles.
Don't get me wrong, as they're both great, but I would stick to TF.

No, Vectorman is not essential. Plus it's even harder than Ranger-X.
Vectorman is good and more accessible it’s also a Mega Drive classic (if that means anything to you). On the other hand, I regard Ranger-X as one of the best shooters of the 16bit era. The case with Ranger-X though is that it requires dedication as it has a learning curve. In my opinion, Ranger-X is not only the better game it’s that you will be missing more if you pass it.
To sum it up:
Vectorman is good, but there’s nothing there you haven’t seen before. On the other hand, there’s only one Ranger-X and it’s great.
IMO go with Ranger-X.
I also looked at your list and, as many have pointed before, you should consider again the possibility of not buying Batman and Virtua Racing. I fully understand the nostalgia reasons in the Jurassic Park case and the fact that you want Sonic 3D in your collection. But there’re really a lot of great games you’re sacrificing for VR and Batman.
For example, a Shining Force game is a must, Phantasy Star IV, Ristar, Ecco, Story of Thor there are a lot of great games you will be missing.

Sonic 3D is no longer in the list, it's been replaced by rocket knight advventures.
As for virtua racing and jurassic park, those will be keepers because i'm not a fan of rpg's tbh.

I know that batman and VR are't considered the best games out there but I like the pick-up-and-play games the most. For example, ducktales for the NES isn't considered one of the best the nes library has to offer, but nonetheless it's still one of my favourite retro game of all time. Why? Because it's a simple game wich you can beat within a hour of playing. Music is like I said also a big factor for me.
