Yes. I don't use/own any emulators on my PC though as it's not my cup of tea. If it's an overpriced game, then buying it on VC is a sound option. I 'might' make a PC strictly for MAME emulation at some point, but past that: I'll never emulate Console games on my PC.Quote:

Miquell, Universal Soldier (Turrican II), Vectorman 1 and 2, Alien 3, Alien Soldier, MERCS, Gunstar Heroes, Earthworm Jim 1 and 2, WolfChild and Zombies Ate My Neighbors are the cream of the MD crop in the run-n-gun genre.
At least give WolfChild a "test" run - it's a lost classic.

That Universal Soldier is pretty badass (only played for a few mins to make sure the cart worked), damn... Alien 3 is really awesome (totally different game than the SNES version... the graphics are different too)!!Quote:

I have no idea what everyone sees in Vectorman. It is a decent game at best. The visuals are nice, sure, but the game is so same-y and boring. All flash and no substance, just like Donkey Kong Country.
Anyway, for me I'd have to say Gunstar Heroes and Contra: Hard Corps. Really liked what I played of Alien Soldier, but I only played for about 15 minutes. The Adventures of Batman and Robin is a lot fun but it's definitely on the difficult side, and it suffers from some serious pacing issues. Robocop Vs. The Terminator is a lot of fun, too.
I kind of hear what you're saying... in regard to Vectorman at least. Gorgeous and the FPS are solid but it does get a lil samey samey.Quote:
