Maybe it's a little too early to be saying this, but it looks like this is the beginning of the end for the 3DS gravy train. What's next, Kid Icarus gets canceled?
Meh can't say I'll miss it, Never been a fan of games that get sequels on handhelds.

This news didn't surprise me in the least. Capcom is deep in the process of turning into a terrible company. Reviews of their games have been all over the place this gen, to say nothing of their announcement that it is their plan to double their game output by handing off more titles to out-of-house developers. Then of course there was the business with the 3DS Mercenaries game.
I've pretty much given up on Capcom.
Didn't they cancel Mega Man Universe too?
