Nintendo 3DS is thread-worthy
So here's what we know:
1. No-glasses 3D gaming. Gimmicky? Yes, but here's the crucial difference that separates the system from Nintendo's other gimmicky devices: it can be turned off.
2. Insane library of confirmed games; Nintendo is clearly targeting the *cough* "hardcore" market. Kid Icarus, what appears to be TWO Resident Evil titles, the afore-mentioned Mega Man Legends 3, Street Fighter IV, Metal Gear Solid 3, as well as remakes of Ocarina of Time and StarFox 64. I think there's a Ninja Gaiden and a Contra in there, too.
3. Transferrable DSiWare downloads. Not sure how they're going to do it, but apparently the games downloaded to the DSi can be brought over to the 3DS. So download Shantae 2 without fear!
4. Virtual Console ...er, "Handheld." Classic GameBoy games will be available for download. I can only assume that Virtual Boy games will also be made available, because ...well, why not? Wario Land, Mario Clash, Teleroboxer; bring it on!
5. Only one analog nub. On a system that appears to be specifically geared towards PSP users? Why wouldn't Nintendo try to address the number one complaint people had for Sony's handheld?
...discuss.
