I've become a connoisseur the last few years. I try a lot of different regional breweries whenever I get the chance. I'm a member of the beeradvocate.com forums, where a lot of guys trade local beers via the mail. It's actually a lot like sega-16, but for beer lovers instead of videogame lovers.

Proper cider from the West Country or a really good bottle of white wine like a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc or an aged Riesling
Guinness! Though I very much prefer Clan McGreggor Scotch in Diet Sprite.

My favourite beer is Coniston Blue Bird bitter. My favourite brewery is Theakston's of Masham in Yorkshire.
Vodka > Wine > Beer.
Beer tastes like pumpking seed flavored carbonated water. I'll never understand the "love" for it, even though I do like it.
My favorite beer is Sagres, a Portuguese beer, and I've only tasted Portuguese beers :p
Man, you need to try bitter from the North of England, it's like drinking the most delicious gravy from a roast dinner with a smooth creamy head. By which I mean it's like a "savoury" drink rather than a true thirst quencher like a Sagres (very nice by the way) is. Order some in, you'll not regret it. Unless you hate it of course, then you will!
I've always been fond of the darker beers myself, Guiness, Arrogant Bastard, Bohemia, Sam Adams, but my fave has to be:
