Platformer/shoot-em up

Hello Guys,

I am looking to venture into a slightly new genre of MD game, and would like to know of some good games to try. Can you guys suggest some good platforming / shooters?

I remember playing once when I was a kid at my cousins house but have no idea what is was called, but you are a little man and, it is a platform based game, and you shoot robots or aliens or something like that.

Gunstar Heroes, I haven't tried before. It seems easy to get hold of. Does anyone rate this game?

Robocop vs. Terminator is awesome. I'd strongly recommend Alien Soldier. And Vectorman.

Those 3 are SO different from each other, though :)

The Vectorman games are obvious choices, but if you want a shooter with a ton of platforming, they're pretty tough to beat.

The Adventures of Batman & Robin.There are very few things on any console as cool as the Mad Hatter boss.

I figured all the Batman games were crap but that one looks good, plus the soundtrack reminds me of a cross between Vectorman and Streets of Rage
