YouTube video of someone calling old tech support number--that still works!!!

A few months ago, I stumbled upon a YouTube video of this guy showing off one of this classic video game consoles (my BEST guess is that it was a ColecoVision or Intellevision) and found a label that had a tech support number. Just out of curiosity, he decided to call that number just to see what would happen. As it turned out, the number still worked and apparently was still owned by the same company.

EDIT: Here's the video; the console is a Coleco Gemini (Atari 2600 clone); he calls the tech support number about halfway through the video.

I called Segas before. (the one on the bottom of some genesis consoles) It still worked in 2006.

Haven't seen any for console hardware, but the AVGN episode for "Wally Bear and the No Gang" has something similar. Starts at 3:10.

Sega's 1-800-USA-SEGA which I used to call all the time back in the SMS and early Genesis days still works, but it is boring now.

Gotta be Colecovision, or at least the number. Yes, it is still owned by the same folks, but they are long since out of that particular business. I have heard of other people calling, then commenting on atariage or vintage-computer.

Yes, that's gotta be the right console. Like I said, I could've SWORN I saw some classic gaming console enthusiast trying it out just to see if it still works and being in just utter disbelief that it did!
