This is possibly the best fan-made Sonic game I've played and definitely the best-looking. There are links to download the demo on the Youtube video's page.

It's got some serious competition in that regard, though perhaps the greatest remix that's not a modification of a Sonic game engine. (the biggest contender is almost certainly Megamix)
Pity one can't delete his own threads on here.
