Well I've only heard good things about V... Anyway's just got done with a grueling playthrough of Phantasy Star 2. Great game, but damn it's hard.

IV does not suck. It's pretty damn good. V is good as well. Tactics is one of the greatest games ever made, imo...Quote:

EDIT: Yup. $20 at amazon.com. Now I just need to get $20.
Fixed it :PQuote:

Ah. I am lucky to have gotten Final Fantasy Anthologies when that first came out and Final Fantasy Chronicles when that came out as well (my cousin bought it for my birthday). I hear they go for a high price nowadays. Great collections both of them with the loading times being a bit of a problem, but not a huge one...Quote:

Loading times on the PSX ports kinda bugged me too, but FFV and VI in one collection? You don't get many better deals than that.
What we need next is a Mana collection, complete with an official translation version of Seiken Densetsu 3.
Well if you're looking for a good SRPG that doesn't take itself too seriously, try Disgaea for the ps2.
Well, besides all the Final Fantasy games I really love the Suikoden-series.
Part 1 was good, but too short and with bad graphics
Part 2 was great in almost every way, the graphics did look like 16-Bit, but at least like great 16-Bit graphics. Story and Sountrack were great, the Fire Emblem-battles really cool and there just was a lot to do in the game.
Part 3 was good too, but not as good as 2 in the ways of soundtrack and character-design. Sadly the strategy battles were no fun at all and the standard battle-system was not my thing too.
Part 4 really sucked: Poor graphics, mediocre soundtrack and a very small world to explore. Most of the world is just water, and the few islands are pretty small. Another weakpoint is that you only need about 25 hours to complete the game. There is not much excitement in the story either. Of all the 108 charas there are only like maybe 6 or so you get to know better. Most of them join you for no reason, and there´s no reason to use them either.
Grandia 1 was just great, part 2 was nice too, though it could not compete with 1.
Star Ocean is alwais great too. Good stories, interesting characters and a lot of secrets together with a very challenging difficulty level and an action-based battle system.
Nobody seems to care about Legaia 2, but I did like it thanks to the battle system.
On the PC my favourites are Morrowind, Gothic 2 and Neverwinter Nights.
[sarcasm]I never could have guessed, 108 Stars. That comes as such a shock to me![/sarcasm]Quote:

I heard great things about Disgaea. I have had it for a while but I still haven't even started playing it yet. I always wanted to but I just can't force myself right now...
What I love about Disgaea is that it's one of those few strategy RPGs you can put down and forget about for a month or two without really forgetting anything important. Well, I mean, besides all the other things I love about Disgaea. Awesome game.Quote:

I had just started playing SF3 when my Saturns disc motor died. What I did get to play, though, I really didn't like as much as SF2.Quote:
