I play a JAP copy of Sonic CD on my Sega CD.
Though I don't use a MegaCart, I dumped the CD into a ISO/WAV dump, fixed the ISO with US boot code, and reburned. Result? authentic JAP Sonic CD, but as an american disc.

Can you please tell me how to do that? I just play the games: I'm not a techi-type guy...
Can the same be done with a PAL Sonic CD?
I whant to know because I'm thinking of getting a JP/PAL version of Sonic CD, but what the point of getting it if I can't play it?
Don't bother with the PAL version, it has the same music as the JAP version.

Use that to convert the boot code on your game.
Note: You should use a Windows PC with Nero, it's FAR easier that way.
Thanks.
I'm probably just gonna get the PAL Version...I can't seem to be able to find a JAP version.
PAL doesn't convert very well to NTSC on Sega CD's and I don't recommend it at all...Quote:

Why not just get the American version?
The only thing different, literally, is the music, and that can be easily fixed.
The JP version isn't particularly hard to find on Yahoo Auctions Japan. Just go through a proxy like Shopping Mall Japan. My copy was under $20 including all the fees and shipping.
Just remember when you do the search to copy / paste the Japanese characters from the Wikipedia page.
I own the American version. But I'd like to be able to hear the music that was meant to be heard.Quote:

Tell you what, I'll send you a PM with something, call it a "patch" if you may...Quote:

Maybe I'll just make my own case for one with a regular CD jewel case and the US boxart manipulated a bit.
Hi I recently check the website and got the ISO file. I want to know what will the load screen for the CD unit look like when it is flashed??????
Pictures????
Will it be the MEgadrive load screen with Version 1.00 or Sega Cd screen with version 1.00
I am intrest in the storage device mostly.
Sonic CD is a PC game that was budled with Desktop and was made in USA where there three diffrent Dev teams for the stages. It orginally had it's own Active X files Direct sound, and Direct Video.Quote:
PAL Sonic CD?
Each region has it's own music.
If you like to hear Nipponese women go off to Sonic the numba one then get the Japanese game. If you want to hear American women talk about fastest thing.
I don't know about the PAL game.
I'm not sure I understand you.Quote:

To start cartridge ROMs, you have to either burn an ISO and then use the CD to copy them to the MegaCart, or use MegaCart hardware. When you run them on MegaCart, it bypasses the 'PRODUCED BY OR UNDER LICENSE FROM SEGA ENTERPRISES' screen.
So the ISO on your webpage does not flash the BIOS of the SEGA CD/ MEGA DRIVE or 32X counter parts????
BIOS revision 1.00 is the original dev model ( Mega Drive/Cd all in one unit )
BIOS revision 1.01 is the SEGA CD USA
and so on revisions is for there regions.
I want to know if this ISO will allow me to flash my Bios of the SEGA/MEGA CD 32X unit I have.
I loaded the ISO in a emulator before I was going to write and it was refering to flashing and updating the BIOS to version 1.00
