I have a question regarding the Megacarts save RAM.
Is it completely compatible with Shining Force CD? Because I'd like to know before I start playing it if I should play it on the Sega CD or just emulate it on something.

Nope, it is not completely compatible for those who wants to play the third chapter of SFCD. Read my Mega Cart article to learn more about this.
I'm sure he would read the article if it was easily found...

It is. Just type "Mega Cart" in the search field of the features section and it will pop up.
And besides: I've typed its URL in this thread several times already.

A card like that could come in handy for me!! :D
Most definetly.
Thats sounds awesome I really want one now if you can just load the games.
how long does it usually take to arrive after you order one?
I'm just waitin for a better Mega Cart to come out..
I have like 40 game between the Genesis & the JP Mega Drive..I want to have one cart for it
in the 40+ games I have is Super SF2 & SF2 SCE
Hm...wonder if that'll ever happen, though.
I'd really like to get one of these, any current owners wish to comment on whether or not they're (still) satisfied with their purchase?
I bought this a couple months ago and it works pretty good (except for games that don't work on real hardware for some reason).
However, my biggest gripe is the fragile feeling computer flasher. The parallel port cable, when plugged in, makes the flasher top-heavy. Also, when I insert the cart into the flasher, I get the feeling that it or the cart might break. Do you have any tips on taking care of the flasher?
I have a Genesis flash cart. Is it possible to push roms to it using the Sega CD instead of that stupid flash device that hooks up to a printer port? I'm so sick of that damn thing, I don't have an old enough computer anymore that has a port.
The Mega Cart will do it, and I'm guessing it's less painful overall, but I don't yet have one.
1. The games I've tested but failed were mostly homebrew games.
- The YM2612 instument editor crashes before it starts
-Miniball SE crashes after it loads the screen.
- Sonic Crackers (The only non-homebrew that failed) crashes after the 'A'.
I do not remember the others, but I assume most of them are bad programming (ex. only tested on emulators :p) or maybe access to a certain feature (Does the lack of SRAM make things crash?). However, most games work on it anyway, especially ones already tested on hardware.
2. Yes, flashing from the Sega CD works perfectly. The homebrew on the utility disc all work perfectly (of coarse :p).
However, my real concern is how to care for the fragile feeling PC flasher...
