I used to love this game on PSX! Interestingly this was originally supposed to be a Streets of Rage game. I'm considering downloading on PSN and you should as well if you have a PS3.
like final fight updated for 3d. still have the pc version, thinking of selling it for quick cash.
I thought Die Hard Arcade was better.
it was
i like Fighting Force (although i think best enjoyed 2-player). it didn't seem like there were too many of these types of games during that time when compared to what arrived on the previous generation of systems. Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, Battletoads, etc.
I'm a massive beat-em up fan, and Fighting Force was the beginning of the end for the genre. Die Hard Arcade barely managed to not suck, as did Dynamite Cop and Zombie Revenge on Dreamcast. Fighting Force is to 3D Beat-em ups what ... (shuffles around for a game nobody likes) .... yeah that game is to 2D beat-em ups.
Actually, I might not be giving it a fair shake, but I really wanted it to be a Streets of Rage or Final Fight equivalent when I bought it back in the day.
The unreleased Saturn beta of 'Streets of Rage 3D' later re-named to 'Judgement Force':
You can pretty easilly find a dump of this proto online if you look well enough and fancy a play yourself.
It had already been changed to Judgement Force by that point, hence new character names.
Dynamite Cop is easily Die Hard Arcade's equal, actually I think its the sequel to Die Hard Arcade. Zombie Revenge is quite good, though if you don't like campy story segments or think that a game is only as good as its dialog you should probably avoid it. Shenmue's 70 man battle destroys them both, but it destroys everything.
This game has been in my local Value Village for a couple of weeks, although I think it might be gone now.
I thought about getting it but after watching it on youtube, it just seemed way to graphic for me and my three year old daughter who I play video games with.
We'll stick with the Streets of Rage series and The Punisher for now.
I ended up getting Wipeout 3 instead.
This is the best 3D beat'em up, I can't wait for a proper model 3 emulation:

I remember fighting force when it 1st came out always looked good to me isnt there a sequel to it
In a really odd coincidence, right when I read that, after the song that I was listening to was over, Winamp switched to one of the WipeOut 3 tracks (Under the Influence)
ON TOPIC: I used to love Fighting Force when I was younger, but ever since I played Dynamite Deka I changed my mind. I've yet to play the sequel (both Fighting Force 2 and Dynamite Deka 2/Dynamite Cop)
Spikeout and Spikeout: Battlestreet rule even with their severe single player difficulty. I was trying to stick within a few years of the discussion.
Fighting Force 2 isn't a beat-em up, it is a shoddy attempt at an early third person shooter/puzzle game.
Aside from some gameplay differences, I don't think of Dynamite Cop as significantly better than Die Hard Arcade. They are both good 3D beat-em ups, easily better than Jedi Powers Battle. Zombie Revenge is something special though.
Dang... looks fun. There's an updated version for the P3???
I do remember seeing Fighting Force 2 on a videogame show here in Argentina (Nivel X). I think they showed the PS1 version (or the DC one maybe, since they used to show DC games on that show). From what I can remember, it did look like garbage. That was back when I still loved the original Fighting Force.
I also heard that Deka 2 wasn't that great either compared to Die Hard Arcade. Still, it's probably better than Fighting Force.
Fighting Force is fun if you use the invincibility code otherwise its too hard and fustrating.
I don't think I have ever played FF before. But i'm sure I have a video on an old Saturn demo disc. But wasn't Sega suppose to make Ninja a Shinobi game or somethin? Sega seemed to get a bit lazy farming out these games to Core. But there were rumors circurlating that TR2,FF and Ninja ran just as good if not better than there PSx counterparts. Sony could'nt have that happen so you can pretty much figure out what happen. I lved Die Hard Arcade, Dynamite Deka and Zombie Revenge. I wish they would've been 4 players games instead of 2 players.
