I went to the goodwill store today and made a score.
I Found me a Saturn for $8!
It came with two controllers, but it doest have the power cord or the AV cable. It looks in very good condition, no dust, dents, sctraches. I plan to find these on eBay in the next few weeks.
So, is this a good deal?

You could have got a Saturn and a couple of cans of Coke. Geez, the reason they cost so much these days is because of impulse buyers like you. They think they can charge that much because every once in awhile some guy like you buys one.
the lady didnt know how much to offer it for, so i said "How about $20?"
lady: "No, i dont want to over charge you"
me: "ok how about $10"
lady: " I will give it to you for $8"

Well I look at it from the point of "Can I flip this?". If it works then, WELL DONE. TO bad the A/v Cables are harder to find then most. They are available but not like one for SNES or PlayStation.
I think it has a high chance of working, since it looks in decent shape. But then again i haven seen before a beat up system (any) working like a charm, and a pefect pristine one not even boot up
Dude that's a steal! Grats. If you got an eBay account, then the power & A/V cables shouldn't be too difficult to get a hold of.

I got mine for £6-£7 last year with all cables and two controllers and a load of good games, very good deal for sure but better has been done. When i bought mine tho i was half expecting it to blow up in my face, it was in pretty poor condition and the woman was a bit dodgy looking.
This reminds me. I got 6 working Saturns for around $4-5 each a month or two ago. The seller had 2 lots of non-working Saturns (4 in each lot), and I paid like $16-20 for each lot. When I got them, it turns out 6 of them work perfectly fine and only 2 are non-working.
It's a great deal, despite what others are saying here.
The very reason why I passed up a $8 Saturn a few months back. Not a whole lot of profit to be made, plus there's more effort and cost to sell/ship systems.Quote:
