Oh brother...
I don't know if I have the energy for another corporate diplomatic scheme. I've had enough of those with Sega. The subject of Sonic alone has taken most of it's share.
As for my own opinion on the matter... Yet another corporate diplomatic scheme to make you think that they understand where we're coming from and, thus, a change is in place. I wouldn't trust it.
Hahaha, wow. What a sugar coated way to say "We're sorry our game bites and you were suckered into spending your hard earned cash on it."
What's worse. I may have not even bought it, considering I don't own a PS3 or 360; but neither will I considering the fact that possible patches may be on their way (I hate game patches... and so do most collectors). Or worse, reduxes or whatever the heck they did with XII. I stopped counting Final Fantasies at VI...
The PHBs don't realize - a game succeeds, or a game fails... you can't steer it from failure to success after it's released. All you can do it try again next time... if there is a next time.
Agreed.
...Sore loosers, the lot of them.
Well they have a second chance with ps3 they have to get it right by then or it will be a total failure.
I feel like doing a happy dance to see a Final Fantasy fail. I haven't enjoyed one since Final Fantasy II/IV. I can't stand it that a company that does little more than candy coat the same story over and over is considered "successful."
 they're apologizing for the online game? What about the rest of the crap they've been shoveling out?
Wait...FFXIV has fans?
The language they use makes my head hurt.
That's the corporate diplomacy I can't stand. Sega does it with Sonic. GameStop with their "policies"... Grrr!!!
...One day, I shall find the perfect way to answer back in a way that matters and give the power back to the people!
Lol exactly. Square should just sell the entire company to someone who actually knows wtf they are doing.
It's pretty bad to be forced to admit you screwed up, in an industry that keys the phrase **** sells(I mean come on, if blizzard can sell that POS WoW game ease, I hate to imagine how bad FF 14 must be.
I want an apology for the FFVII movie! It was horrible!
Ok what exactly happened here? I don't know much about FF other than it sales a shitload around the world.
Supposedly no one likes FF 14(I mean no one got suckered into their latest POS), so they are trying to make nice(aka marketing ploy/scam).
Well the last even very good FF game, was FF8(unless you count FF4's Sequel made by the original development team), and everything after that was ****. Oh yea, then they went on to destroy the DQ series, the FFT spin off series, and the DQM spin off series as well.
Yep, a crappy mmo, is the least of what they should be apologizing for.
I haven't actually enjoyed a FF game since FFIX so screw you, squaresoft/enix/whatever the hell your calling yourself today
I'm surprised they even thought about releasing this game, when it was well known that FFXI was a complete mess, as far a MMOs go.
Yea, and the sad thing is, FF 11 could've been a good game, but the xp system is the worst ever, the maps are overly huge, without having tons of teleport locations in the game, and you're forced to party to train(It's bad, It takes around 45min to get to a place, and then another hour to get a party together, so basically if you don't play atleast 4 straight hours every day, you're not gonna get anywhere). Oh yea, also party doesn't even make it easy to kill things, because the mosters get stronger if you're in a party(you'll just have access to a healer, and such, that's it, which makes it possible to kill things).
Needless to say, I don't think they should have made another mmo.
