TJ Maxx has one of these for 49.99 and it seems like it's a steal but my money isn't exactly good right now till next week. I could get it but would it be good for classic gaming?

Oh no! How will you play your gun games?
Not really into that genre.
If you play all your games in a dark room, it might work for you.

A projector is just an LCD TV with a really insanely bright backlight and a lens, so you'll have all the downsides of an LCD plus several more inherent to projectors.
How does that thing work? I think it requires a CRT to project the image from.
What kind of video and audio hookups does it have, 75 ohm, RCA, S-video?
If all it has are newer component and HDMI hookups, then classic systems are out.
That "Sharper Image" projector is just a very, very low-end LCD projector. Expect dim images, poor contrast, washed out color, and motion blur. This projector's performance was impressive in the early 90s, but even a decade ago it would have been considered mediocre at best... so if you're going to get one, keep your expectations low.
