Just because a shmup might compel you to play repeatedly until you've died 700 times and your thumbs are bleeding in order to make it to the second boss doesn't necessarily mean you've gained more value for money than a shmup you can breeze through on the first sitting - it just means you're that much further on the way towards gaining arthritis. ;P Panorama Cotton is "easy", and I don't regret the price I paid for it at all. :)
Tbh I always thought it sounded like the type of name you might give a dog :D
nice idea Smii
gonna spread it when I see someone with a newborn puppy
And this is my daughter, Aleste...
I sold one on eBay, mint and complete for $115 last year. I won't say how much I got it for.
MUSHA is very overrated......Spriggan is a much better game.
But both still easy Compile games. At least Spriggan is worth the money for what you get. If I want it I honestly wouldn't pay more than $30 for it.
That's way too much. $96 dollars can get you some CIB Japanese imports.
Then again I can think like a cheapass. CIB is easier to sell than loose cartridges. I remember when I had MUSHA, I paid $10 CIB and $60 for Japanese CIB.
The rule of thumb is if you want it ASAP you are going to get ripped.
Back on subject though, it doesn't matter what price a game for an old system is. If it's more expensive than when it first came out it's a rip off really. But, if it's a collector's piece, it'll only enhance the collection. However you see it, if you'd paid £100+ for a game, you'll be really pissed off if it's pants.
I got NTSC1 MUSHA for about £120 including postage from the US, and I have to say, I really like it. I'd rather have only paid the £30ish it would have cost brand new, but there you go.
I'm no X-pert (!) with this kind of thing, but these games will only get rarer, and keeping them in the collection can only be a good thing for future resail in my oppinion. At the end of the day though, I really have been had by paying such a high price for such a frivolous thing as a video game.
Hehe.
There was a scoundrel of that name cast out from these 'ere parts.

The world is full of expensive frivolous crap for you to waste £££ on - I think Mega Drive / Genesis games offer relatively good value for money. And of course you could argue that money spent on anything you really enjoyed is not "wasted" :)
X-Perts is a different matter altogether though, I very much doubt anyone ever enjoyed that. :P
How's the price on a Cart Only in 2011/2012??
When I was looking last year, it was in the $60-$70 range, but I'm holding out for a CIB copy eventually. It's not really on my priority list, but I do worry the price is only going to continue going up.
BTW-What's with all the MUSHA threads in the last couple of days, is there a new rush for it?
