I got a cart only copy in decent shape for $65 on eBay about 6 months ago. CIBs almost always go for $100+
If you check ebay now there only seems to be one US version for $80 with marked up label.
I paid $3.99 for a CIB copy of MUSHA at Goodwill a few months back. Not everyone is gonna be that lucky, of course, but it pays to frequent thrift stores even if you leave empty handed 95% of the time.
What was the Value before Classic Game Room HD made a Mega Review on it?
I remember seeing a cib copy for $80 before his review.
I've looked up craigslist and other want adds, but there's rarely any vintage game consoles there. The only time there's something there, it's always in St. John's, which is a 12-14 hour drive from my house, so I'm forced to use eBay and have all my games shipped.
Newfoundland is a dump.:(
^ Also try Goodwill stores or Salvation Army.
sometimes even pawn shops have retro games.

The right pawn shops can be a gaming gold mine. I found this one that had bunches of NES loose carts for $1 a piece. I grabbed them up.
We don't have pawn shops here either, and the only Salvation Army we have sells clothes, and nothing else. There is one second hand store in town, but it no longer carries any old games, and the games it did have were junk. They wanted $5 for loose NES games, and that was just crazy to me.
Man, I feel sorry for you and people like you who live in less populous areas. I just want to pack up a bunch of classic games and ship them your way. You don't get to experience the joy of games found "in the wild" or any such thing. There are areas like that here in the US, but thankfully, I no longer live in one. I used to live pretty rural and the nearest Goodwill was 1/2 hour away, and there were only one or two second hand stores. thankfully, I moved to where there are 9 GW and SA stores within 40 minute drive from my house. I couldn't have built my collection to where its at currently by only going with ebay, or I would have gone broke.
Ten years ago, you could actually get good games around here, but now all the good games are getting old, and nobody has them anymore. I can still remember buying a CIB copy of "Zen: Intergalactic Ninja" for the NES for $5, and I still have it to this day. I also used to own a mint CIB copy of "Fire 'n' Ice" for the NES which I had only paid $5 for also, but I either lost it, or a friend stole it from me, and I'm certainly not paying $50 for a cart only copy of it now. At least I still have the box and manual.
I'm lucky enough to have a Thrift store about 5 minutes from my house. I go there every other week or so and usually find some decent stuff. Once found Castlevania 4 for $5, World Series Baseball 32X for $2 and a Contra cart for $3. A lot of the time it's mostly shitty sport games though. Like right now they have about 10-15 SNES & N64 games all sports for $3 each and a big stack of garbage NES games. The good thing though is that they always price them cheap. Also have a Goodwill and Play N Trade close by.
Any Play N Trade stores in Canada? I'm pretty sure they all carry retro games, at least the ones by me do. Much better store than Gamestop.
its hard find good sega games for cheap in montreal , but i did get streets of rage 3 for $3 once cart only
