I don't buy much from North American eBay sellers, but that's because the majority of sellers don't ship to the UK, or think the extra time spent filling in customs forms / waiting in post office queues entitles them to charge double the actual cost. Grr. Most just won't though, it's sad how many people I've asked that just reply "won't ship overseas sry" or worse, "it's too expensive". Why? Not like they'd have to cover the cost themselves :/
Um, service-wise though, US sellers aren't any worse than anywhere else in my experience. Just know what you're buying and who you're buying from before you hand money over - like anything.
I think most won't ship because without any confirmation number they are at risk of the buyer simply saying they didn't getting there item. The buyer can then file a depute and get there money back. It has happened to me a few times but out of hundreds I am doing OK.
Another problem is that you can't print first class international with eBays system. I just go to the post office but many won't. It is good up to four pounds/ 1.81 kilos. Anything heavier than that it gets silly expensive. My guess is the sellers dealing thousands of orders would rather not deal with it. I can't be that picky. The dollar stinks right now so many of my orders come from outside the US, mostly Canada, the UK and Germany.

The problem here is that you guys don't know the difference between a seller and a wholesaler. Yes, there are many sellers (even members) in North America on ebay but most of them are not wholesalers and will never be. A wholesaler is a person who will (normally) never see the item he/she she sales, so this means no quality control or even shipping control from him/her. This alone is enough to explain the negative feedbacks this person gets over broken, late and lost items.
Wholesaling is not a North American practice, but most wholesalers who have little to no contact with their merchandise do reside there. Most wholesalers I deal with in Europe or Japan usually have great service and items despite the language barrier because they actually have a hand on their merchandise. Finally, there's the mentality of it all. The North American mind is Quantity over Quality, so it doesn't matter for them if a few customers are unhappy as long as the majority is.
That is all fine and good but clearly he is not a wholesaler. Did you even look at his store?
Everything he has can be found at yard sales, thrift stores, swap meets ,etc. I agree he has a lot to learn looking at some of his feedback but I don't see anything there he won't have to pack himself.
Derp. That's obviously a like-new copy this person has.
i give them credit for posting a picture, atleast you know what you would be getting instead of a seller that says something is in "very good" condition and uses a stock photo and thats what you end up recieving.
