If Soul Edge were to be hacked apart like Soul Calibur was, I'd prefer it not come to XBLA. Namco removed the best part of SC.
I'm all for Killer Instinct 1 and 2. Why aren't they out I wonder? Microsoft totally wined, dined, and had their way with Rare, so why not?
I wonder what the chances are for X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter?
I don't know but I have a guess on why:
Soul Edge might be tied to the Playstation release of Soul Blade that added extra things and with a possiblity of coming out on PSN. If it did come out on XBLA, it would be a plain arcade port without the Edge Master Mode.
X-Men: Children of the Atom (and the other Marvel Capcom games) would depend on licenses and popularity. I know that they have the license since they are making Marvel vs. Capcom 3 but I don't know how popular they are towards fighting fans (except Marvel vs. Capcom 2 which is very popular).
Killer Instinct 1 and 2, surprisingly isn't on since Rare and Microsoft are pretty close to each other. The only reason that I could think of is due to Midway's collapse regarding the arcade versions but that is quite farfetched. Maybe they don't want to be reminded of their past?
Also Virtua Fighter 1 and 2, they should come on there. There's the PC ports that they could use or the versions made by M2 on the PS2 if the original Model 1/2 or the Saturn versions are too hard for them to port. Then again it is Sega's policy regarding old games to release whatever is easiest to them.
Just get the originals, better for collection purpose and you actually own your games when you do so.
Have you tried to play this game recently?Aesthetically it's as gorgeous as it was 1994, and shows how much passion Capcom used to put into their work, but the game is just dated. If Capcom were to release any other games in the VS series, it would probably be Marvel Super Heroes, which plays better, but not by much.
