Once again, how are you determining this? Are you a software developer?

Dude really you come off as a fucking crying bitch just please shut the fuck up about your bitch threads because if you keep it up you will get the banhammer so please for your own sake SHUT THE FUCK UP.
That's funny... SEGA for whatever reason seemed to care enough to implement it.
Any other useless information to add or is that about the jist of what you've got in your reservoir?
you're a fool
You're calling me an idiot because I expect to get fullscreen on a screen that's VERY small to begin with. Those are fighting words. You aren't being constructive, you're straight up asking for a fight with the way you're coming at me.
Fuck me... how dare I expect a game to utilize the entire screen via a simple and free option called Stretch.
If you can't keep up with the argument I suggest you stay out of it. Adding a stretch feature to the game is entirely different than programming the game to render in a 16:9/10 ratio... TWO COMPLETELY different ways to go about utilizing the entire screen... one very expensive and time consuming from what I've heard and the other is a no brainer (free and as an option doesn't get in the way of people like you who want to play with HALF the screen because of the need to 'respect' the original aspect ratio).
I responded and shattered your logic... if you're too dumb to admit where you're wrong then don't reply to me any further because I will not waste my breath on you again.
You know Melf can ban you anytime he wants right?
And you hate the JP Thunder Force IV artwork. Sorry but you have no taste in art.
Where did I say anything about programming the game to render in 16:9? I said Capcom might have wanted to preserve the original look of the game by keeping it 4:3. Stretching it 16:9 doesn't preserve the original look. It stretches and distorts the image and can result in a very nasty looking picture.
for my own sake... is that a threat?
:Panda:
:z:
the jap stuff is way too girly, but hey, I know most of you have hard ons for the japs and all their japaname nonsense, so whatever floats your boat...
I feel SO sorry for you and others who cannot seem to get a grip on what's being discussed here:
1. Actually Coding the Engine to output/render in a 16:9/10 ratio
VS.
2. A STRETCH feature that simply stretches the screen.
1 is costly because of time and 2 is a nothing
Your post made it look like you didn't know the difference.
An option is just that, an option. I could use it, you could refrain from using it, and it wouldn't have cost Capcom anything to implement it.
I need to be a software developer to figure that out... ok dude, you win.
:z:
Practical sense tells me it's a nothing when SEGA goes out of their way to ensure ALL 20+ games on their PSP Compilation have the Stretch option... it says to me that it's a NOTHING.
I'm pretty sure Capcoms compilation uses a couple different emulators since the games don't all run on the same hardware. So it's possible that's why it would be harder to implement than Sega's Genesis Compilation. They would have to program that feature numerous times. And most retro game enthusiasts would rather preserve the original look of the games.
Honestly, there are better things to do than bitching about this. Here's a suggestion, go fly a kite!:
not buying it, you're fired
I make a simple rant thread with NO room for discussion and y'all flock to it like the stink on shit.
I make a thread about Multi-Player Gaming and it gets 13 views :?
Anyone wanna get assraped in Resistance 1 on the PS3? I'll stomp your ass... who's up for it?
Let's do it... let's get some War on shall we... any of you lamers play that game?
I know you're talking about Stretching the Image. But you said:
Full Screen is 4:3 while Wide Screen is 16:9/10.Quote:
If there was a warning on the side of that game packaging that read, "fullscreen not supported on all titles", guess what, I would NOT have purchased it.... but guess what... there was NO warning... and I didn't find out until after the game had already been opened/etc... Frys doesn't accept opened games as most retailers do not.
The PSP is Wide Screen.
You said "Full Screen not supported on all titles."
So technically what you said was "4:3 screen not supported on all titles."
But that's why you made this thread isn't it? Because you can't STRETCH the 4:3 image to fill the 16:9/10 screen?
I think you meant to say WIDE SCREEN Support as I said earlier. Which would mean STRETCHING the image to fill the WIDE SCREEN display. Like on the PSP's Genesis Collection.
