Oh, and I preordered Pilot Wings. Gamestop has it listed as a launch day title, and I'm inclined to believe that's true. My guess is that Pilot Wings and Nintendogs + Cats will be the only Nintendo-developed day 1 games.
That may sound weak to some, but Pilot Wings is a favorite series of mine. I spent dozens of hours perfecting the SNES game, and adored the N64 version as well. I'm definitely excited for this new take, and besides Mario, no series has better demonstrated Nintendo console features quite like Pilot Wings.
Also, I may try to get into Pokemon Black/White around the 3DS launch. I've tried the series out before, but have never really put my heart into it. A deep RPG could be just what the doctor ordered.
Well there are games "confirmed", just for every time but lauch. However even still, sadly most are just remakes, instead of a new entry in their respective series(rather it be Nintendo, Capcom or the godly ATLUS, It's almost, if not all remakes).
I imagine people will have to wait a full year, before developers take any real risk on this system(I mean come on, it could be the crappiest system in history, and games like Zelda, Starfox, any SF game, evidently even a subpar one like SF4, almost any ATLUS game, exc would still sell big). Lol it actually sounds like atleast nintendo knows this system sucks, which is why they're remaking their best sellers.
I also find it funny that they know their past games were golden, yet every new weratiation of X series Nintendo butchers the series more, and more, but that's for another debate.
It's understandable for 3rd party developers to test the waters first, but for Nintendo themselves to remake old games to use as Launch(cough, near launch) titles, only shows they have no faith in the system, and thus not puting much effort at all on the system to begin with.
You do know that the DS released with Mario 64, right? And how did the DS turn out? 160 million units sold?? Wow, crazy it worked so well seeing as to how Nintendo knew it sucked.
One could even use the incredibly stupid adjective "godly" to describe the DS as a gaming console.
*Stops playing Donkey Kong Country Returns, New Super Mario Bros., and Twilight Princess and reads that statement*Quote:

Now that was just silly.
As much as I like the idea of the tech inside the 3DS, I don't really like the idea of it's battery life. I'll probably wind up getting one, but that'll probably be when they've gotten a little cheaper or after the 3DS lite comes out.
Regardless of whether I have a 3DS or not, I'll be buying Megaman Legends 3 the Day it comes out for the 3DS.
Why would anyone use TP to support such a debate, that game is borderline POS. I'll give you DKC though, however while NSMB Isn't SMG(thankfully), but still, I think I would rather play SMB 1, 2, 3 or SMW before NSMB, but I guess atleast It's still a pretty good game(not as good as it should be, considering how great the earlier SMB games are).
Hey, down hill, is still down hill, look at square with the FF series, it took them a fairly long time to hit rock bottom, but every game after FF 7, was slightly worse then the last, so I don't think we should turn a blind eye(and for the record, Zelda has offically hit rock bottom with the upcomming new Zelda title. I wish Nintendo would make a new series if they want to change up gameplay mechanics, not use the Zelda series as a guinea pig).
METACRITIC SCORES:
Twilight Princess: 95/100
New Super Mario Bros. Wii: 87/100
Super Mario Galaxy 1&2: 97/100
Translation: you have no idea what you're talking about Zoltor.
Proffessional review scores mean nothing, and lets be real, people would gladly buy the worst game ever made, if it had a Zelda or mario title.
TP is easily the worst Zelda yet(until that POS Skyward sword or whatever the hell its called comes out), how can you be supporting it(Note: Lol CDi Zeldas don't count).
As far as SMG goes, they're so poorly designed, it make SA1 seem godly, and neither SMG game comes anywhere close to as good as SA2. The level designs are horrible to say the least(they're easily among the worst 3D platforner level designs ever, a brain dead person could've made those, hell even Square could've done better, and that's saying a lot).
NSMB is good, don't get me wrong, but It's still a step down from 1, 2,3, and SMW.
I was going to preorder one of these, until I saw what the price is here. $350! Aussie currency is almost identicle to US currency, $350 being almost $354. Why the Hell should we have to pay $100 extra?! I'm pissed.
Im going to wait until the summer and see how the NGP and the Panasonic Jungle turn out as they look much more up my street, i mean have you seen the graphics on those NGP games? epic.
250 is overly expensive as is, but in AU It's 350, ouch sorry to hear that.
PS. From what I can tell, for all intensive purposes, AU Isn't part of the gaming industry, thus atleast the majority of such items are being technically imported(resulting in higher prices). I would guess that would most likely be what's going on with that.
How many times do you have to be told that you don't know what you're talking about before you just accept it?
I might have given you TP, since hindsight has revealed some slightly mixed feelings about the game. But SMG was almost universally accepted as one of the best games ever.
Again I suspect that you've never actually played any of these games you constantly complain about.
The levels are so simple, It's pathetic(Nintendo: Hey, lets make a crappy 3D platformer, that want's to be SA, however lets have our stupid char bouncing from planet to planet, this way it will look good, but we don't have to put much effort into the lv design at all), that's SMG in a nutshell.
Why the hell would I buy SMG, the gameplay videos is more then enough to tell that game sucks(It's a platformer afterall, It's not a system/mechanic heavy game). The levels are horendously bad in design.
I did buy the other games though, infact I bought tp on release day, that has to be one of the crappiest Action/Adventure games ever made(if Square made the game, I would've not been surprised). There's nothing special about the game, It's almost as straight foward as Square's new FF game, just wider. After all these times of making crappy 3D Zeldas, there are still camra angle issue in the games(Nintendo, either design a camra system that works or better yet go back to actually making good zelda games). To point out, the straight foward complaint is actually two complaints, the removal of any real exploration, and bad map design in general(and although, not a major issue to me, the story is forgetable).
Omg, and if you happened to buy the wii version of the game, forget it, there is a spot in the game, that "IS"vertually unplayable. the only way to beat it is by shear luck(the part you need to fly, the controls are completely unreponsive, and it is constantly unsyncing as well), if that's not crappy, I don't know what is(took me an hour to get past that ****, which I'm surprised I got past it at all, It's that bad).
Bad maps, sacrificing gameplay style for bad maps that do nothing for the game besides supposedly being eyecandy for the graphic whores is a no no, and bad controls/camra system(granted the camra system Isn't as bad as the past 3D Zelda games, but for some reason, Nintendo "loves" puting Link into situations where any flaw in the camra system, becomes a issue), is the definition of a crappy game.
(Wow, I called it)
I'm not asking you to buy the game, but it's kinda necessary to play the game in question if you're going to critique it with any semblance of credibility.
Of course, you and credibilty waved good-bye to each other a long time ago, but at least you could have pretended that you weren't talking out of your ass.
