I'm ok with that as long as they follow the Wii pricing method, in which over time the majority of games sell for $40, with just the AAA titles selling for $50.
When I reserved Pilot Wings a GameStop employee quoted me $40, which I'm ok with. Whether or not that's the actual price remains to be seen.
Like you, MrMatthews, I'll be a bit cautious with my cash come launch day. When the original DS launched I was desperate for anything good, so I picked up Super Mario 64 DS, Feel the Magic xx/xy, and Spider-man 2. None of which I'd consider classic (SM64 is, but it wasn't the definitive version like it should have been).
I can see being tempted by Rayman 3DS, as I adore Rayman 2, but I've already played the game on two other consoles before. It's incredibly difficult to justify that $40 purchase, so I'll pass. The same goes for a number of other "launch titles".
This time, I see myself getting Pilot Wings and Super Street Fighter 4 (unlike others around here, I think the gameplay is brilliant), and just holding off on anything else for a couple of months. Maybe throw Pokemon Black & White in there for some longevity.
The beautiful thing is there's still a ton of great DS games I'd like to play. Hopefully the 3DS drives the price of used DS games down.
