There should be 3 cables with the system: an AC Adapter, a standard Composite AV cable, and a cable that connects the 32X to the Genny.

*edit* When the 32X is connected, does it have it's own Audio/Video out or does it run out of the Gennys Audio/Video out?
don't forget the two metal Shields that go into the Genesis Cartridge slot, and the Plastic Spacer so it can sit properly on the Model II Genesis

I have a Model 1 Genny, fyi.
Mine came with those three cords, the metal clips that hold open the Genesis cartridge slot, and a plastic divider that goes between the 32X and a model 2. If you want to play on a model one, then you need to take the divider off of the 32X. Also, it runs off of it's own AV cables.
Brand new ones came with the adapter cable needed to hook into the Model 1 Genesis. Without this you can't use the 32X with your Model 1. This is what you have to watch out for on ebay. A lot of people lost these if they weren't using their 32X on a Model 1.

No, you can't use your Model 1 AV cable with the 32X. You'll run a Model 2 style cable from the 32X out to your TV.
