Any japanese music fans here besides me? And I mean aside from game or anime music (which I also like, btw).
For the last 11 years or so I've been a big j-music afficianado and while I am familiar with most contemporary artists, I find the older j-music from 80s, 70s, and earlier to be among the best. Even the 'idol' artists of the 80s had some very eclectic sounds going on in their tracks, and there's always something unique and adventurous about j-music in general regardless of genre.

I once got into a Japanese band by the name of Life Ball. I wish that cd had not disappeared in the move.

The only japanese musicians I really listen to these days are Galneryus, Ark Storm, Concerto Moon, and Gunbridge.
