FC Famiclone, features wired controllers, built-in controllers turbo mode, and good old fashion cloned hardware, no NOAC shizzle here ....NTSC/60Hz modded (used to be PAL-N :yuck: ) and all of the capacitors have been replaced too...Almost same dimensions as a Famicom, but round :p ....

Looking for any other Famiclone (preferably in Gray color, or a Micro genius brand other than the IQ-501)...No NOAC's based units please:

what price range are you looking to get for the nes toploader with the a/v jacks? I have no idea what to offer thats why i'm asking.

Oh, man....oh, man....that's a sweet NES! Does that A/V mod mean that you can connect the s-video cables from an N64 and/or the scart cable like the Famicoms?

The NES PPU is completely incapable of outputting a video signal better than composite. That's how it comes out of the chip. So unfortunately, you are still gonna be stuck with composite (unless you get it modded with a PlayChoice-10 PPU, but that's a completely different subject).

Thanks for explaining. However, that sounds like a definite "No" on the SCART/RGB. I'm assuming S-video on the NES will still work through that port?

I just....I just hate the asstastic picture quality coming from my fatty NES...I can't stands no mores I tell ya'!

Edit: Nope. S-vid still won't work. :( Damn you to hell Nintendo!

Don't expect picture-perfect video out of RGB, either. Due to the Ricoh 2C03's different color palette from the NES' Ricoh 2C02, the colors will look different on your NES games due to the 2C03's color palette(just so you know, the 2C02 outputs Composite and the 2C02 outputs Composite). Yes, it will look sharper, but your games will look different no matter whether you use the raw RGB from the 2C03 or the 2C03's RGB encoded into S-Video or Composite.

How was that multi-A/V jack mounted and what circuit did you use to pull of the Composite video? I've been thinking of doing this to my Top-Loader NES because the RF is crap and the modulator inside the console is about to break(I'm getting a lot of snow on the TV).

Yeap, the RGB ppu has to be used in order to get S-video, component. HMDI, etc....

If the RGB amp is done properly (like mine :p) you'll get an AWESOME picture....Most people out there rely in other modders for schematics, I don't ...

NES & Famicom games in RGB or Component, is just simply amazing!..That much I'll say :rock:

Mounting the connector is a bit tricky, but fits just fine....I use my own amp ;) ....

So excuse my ignorance but the difference between the Multi A/V port and the RCA jacks built in is just a difference in connection right?

What all does the AV Famicom output? I'd be very interested in it but if it only outputs RGB SCART then I wouldn't be able to use it.

Also, where would these be shipping from so we can have an idea on what to pay for shipping.

Heh. My top loader needs it too. So ugly with RF and vertical lines, worse now that there's a loose connection forming somewhere. Probably the RF box's cable or plug wearing out.

If you're just using the composite video, then there wouldn't be a difference. The multi AV port is there so that you can use the SNES's RGB and S-Video cables instead. When most people RGB mod an NES it requires a custom cable, this system does not.

The custom modded AV NES requires the proprietary Nintendo AV cable (included, the same for SNES,N64, GameCube, etc)..While the one with AV jacks, any standard RCA cables.....


The modded Av Famicom outputs s-video, A/V and RGB through the MultiAv port, just like an American SNES...

Internal Component mod with output Jacks (RED/BLUE & GREEN) can be added for an additional $85 bucks of best offer price :cool: ....
