Sega classics coming to PSN, free for PS Plus subscribers

Sony has announced today that starting this March, Sega will be adding Genesis classics to PlayStation Network for download. Titles include: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe 2, Comix Zone, and Altered Beast.

Titles will a reasonable $4.99 a piece, and PlayStation Plus subscribers can get them for free and before they're available to regular members. The full schedule of releases can be found below!

I could give a rats ass about these games that have been re-released a hundred times but if you are PS+ subsriber you get them for free. Does MS give away free games on XBL Gold?

This. I'm guessing these games are for people who:

1. Don't want the whole collection, just a game or two.

2. Don't know what an emulator is or want to own the games legally.

I don't care. I own most of these games legally. And even for the ones I don't, the original creators won't see a cent (or yen) of any money I spend at this point. So I'll emulate what I damn well please. I support the creators of works, not whatever entity happens to own the rights.
